Ukrainian media: After deliveries of Patriot air defense systems to Ukraine, Russia will start “hunting” for them
Some time ago, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov confirmed the information that the first American Patriot air defense system was delivered to the country. According to Reznikov, now "the beautiful Ukrainian sky will be safer." The head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine added that the Ukrainian military "learned how to use the Patriot air defense system as soon as possible."
However, even in the Ukrainian media, they doubted that due to the “maximum deadlines for training the Ukrainian military”, the sky of Ukraine would become “safer”.
The Ukrainian resource TSN writes that now Russia “will start hunting for the American Patriot complexes delivered to Ukraine.” At the same time, it is added that the Russian army will do this for some reason with the help of "Iranian missiles." Perhaps this is a reference to how the Houthis from Yemen, using Iranian missiles and drones, without any problems at one time hit objects on the territory of Saudi Arabia.
For example, we are talking about the objects of the Saudi Aramco company, which were covered by the Patriot air defense system. A few years ago, a video appeared of how the Saudi crew of such an air defense system fired an anti-aircraft missile, which eventually hit in the immediate vicinity of the launch point, causing damage to the infrastructure.
Western experts, meanwhile, express doubts that in a few months, which lasted for the training of the Ukrainian military in the operation of the Patriot air defense system, it is possible to achieve skills that really allow using the full potential of the Patriots. In addition, bewilderment was expressed about the "miraculous power" that the Patriot air defense system supposedly has. In the modifications delivered to Ukraine, they are not much different, and in a number of parameters they are even inferior to the S-300 air defense systems, dozens of which have been destroyed by Russian troops on the territory of Ukraine since the beginning of the NMD.
The Patriot air defense system is a powerful anti-aircraft missile weapon, but to exalt it to the level of unsurpassed is a clear exaggeration.
