Brazilian President: US must stop encouraging Ukrainian conflict
14
The President of Brazil made another statement on the Ukrainian conflict. While on a visit to China, he urged more countries to get involved in advocating for an end to hostilities in the Ukrainian conflict and make every effort to do so.
Now President Lula da Silva has openly criticized the United States of America for its stance on Ukraine.
Brazilian President:
The United States encourages armed conflict in Ukraine. They must stop encouraging this war and start a peaceful dialogue.
According to Lula, the European Union should take a more active position on the peaceful resolution of the Ukrainian conflict. The Brazilian President noted that the EU needs to become active in order to achieve peace:
Together we must convince the presidents of Russia and Ukraine that peace is important for everyone, and war is now of interest to the two of them.
At the same time, Lula da Silva stressed that the United States is behind Zelensky, for whom there is also an interest in continuing the conflict.
Brazilian President:
It is necessary to form a group of countries ready to find a way to establish peace.
Recall that earlier Lula da Silva announced the need to move away from using the dollar as a currency for mutual trade. According to him, the hegemony of the dollar should be a thing of the past.
