The Ministry of Defense of Latvia and the White House recognized the presence of Latvian and American troops in Ukraine
The White House and the Ministry of Defense of Latvia acknowledged the presence of their military personnel in Ukraine. In particular, this kind of recognition was made by John Kirby, who holds the post of coordinator for strategic communications of the Security Council in the US administration. According to John Kirby, there are American troops on the territory of Ukraine, "however, they do not take part in the hostilities."
Representatives of the Latvian authorities also made a similar statement.
Journalists asked Kirby and Latvian officials about what their military personnel were doing in Ukraine.
An American official said that they (American servicemen) “work at the US Embassy, helping, among other things, to keep records of the incoming weapons to Ukraine.”
John Kirby:
The Ministry of Defense of Latvia, in turn, said that the Latvian military personnel "perform auxiliary functions, including the protection of the Latvian embassy and special cargo."
Latvian military department:
Recall that data on the presence of military personnel of the armies of the United States, Latvia, Canada, Britain, France, the Netherlands and some other countries in Ukraine began to come from the so-called "Pentagon leak". Although it was obvious and without "leak". And these confessions of Kirby and the Ministry of Defense of Latvia are yet another evidence that the West deliberately throws some truthful information into the array of supposedly leaked "secret data" in order to give credibility to all the "leak" data distributed on the network.
Meanwhile, it became known about the death of two Americans in the Artyomovsk region. This is Edward Wilton and Grady Kurpasi. Kurpasi served as a military instructor, but according to the State Department, he officially retired from military service in 2021. For about six months, the American Marine was listed as missing.
