The decision of the US authorities to freeze part of the assets of the Islamic Republic of Iran was declared illegal by the International Court of Justice. This is reported by the news agency Reuters.

In accordance with the decision of the International Court of Justice, Washington will now have to pay compensation to Iran for its actions. Another question is whether the American leadership will take such a step, because this greatly undermines the hegemonic policy of the United States and is a "bad example" for many other countries of the world.

Recall that before the start of the special military operation of the RF Armed Forces in Ukraine, Iran was the world leader in terms of the number of sanctions imposed against an individual state.
