The International Court of Justice ordered the United States to pay compensation for the illegal freezing of part of Iranian assets

The decision of the US authorities to freeze part of the assets of the Islamic Republic of Iran was declared illegal by the International Court of Justice. This is reported by the news agency Reuters.

In accordance with the decision of the International Court of Justice, Washington will now have to pay compensation to Iran for its actions. Another question is whether the American leadership will take such a step, because this greatly undermines the hegemonic policy of the United States and is a "bad example" for many other countries of the world.

Recall that before the start of the special military operation of the RF Armed Forces in Ukraine, Iran was the world leader in terms of the number of sanctions imposed against an individual state. The United States was the first to impose sanctions against Iran more than forty years ago, in 1979. Over the decades, the number of sanctions has only grown. One of the types of sanctions was the freezing of part of Iran's state assets.

By the way, this is a common American practice. After the change of power in Afghanistan, the United States did exactly the same with Afghan assets, completely ignoring the fact that for such a poor country this money was of great interest and could be used for social and humanitarian purposes.

Earlier, IRNA reported that Tehran had agreed with a number of states to unfreeze part of its assets totaling $XNUMX billion. This money was transferred to the state accounts of the Islamic Republic. The world will now be watching to see if the United States recognizes the decision of the International Court of Justice and whether it will compensate Iran for the damage caused by the asset freeze.

Do you know how many Russian and Chinese people can be arrested?
I won't even be surprised if they implement this decision, they somehow have to show that the US dollar is law and order, as well as the most reliable currency in the world.

Senile Joe might pay. His spiritual predecessor and current puppeteer, Obama, sent several heavy transport planes loaded with cash to Iran, and would welcome the chance to send more. Here is Trump - he certainly would not have paid, and imposed sanctions against the court.

I highly doubt that the states will compensate for something. This is a country that only robs and takes by force. Let's see how they "honor and respect" the international law that they so zealously urge others to observe.

I can't remember how many years ago US officials last used the term "international law" in relation to themselves.
They now live according to the "order based on the rules."

Nicaragua v United States of America
On June 27, 1986, the International Court of Justice ruled in the case “On military and paramilitary activities in Nicaragua and v. Nicaragua” (Nicaragua v. United States of America), initiated in court by the application of the Republic of Nicaragua dated April 9, 1984 in connection with American military support for the actions of Nicaraguan contras. The Court held that the United States, in supporting these forces, committed acts that violated the following international legal obligations of the United States: not to interfere in the affairs of another state, not to use force against another state, not to encroach on the sovereignty of another state, and not to interfere with peaceful maritime trade. The court also decided that the United States should compensate the Republic of Nicaragua for all damage caused to it as a result of these illegal acts. Taking into account the position of the Court, the United States subsequently refused to recognize its compulsory jurisdiction.

With regard to the Iranian claim, the US filed an objection to the Court's jurisdiction over the case. The International Court of Justice rejected the US objection.

It's all very simple. The United States is recognized and will even "pay" with green wrappers. And in return, the ICC arrest warrant will be recognized and likely executed.

    We explain

This is an imitation of the independence of the legal system.
The hypocritical Iranian mullahs once again betrayed someone and leaked something, whom it is not difficult to guess, and they get money for this under the guise that the alleged fighters against American hegemony allegedly won something in an allegedly independent court.

You are aware that Bardak Abama, Biden's immediate superior, shipped a couple of planes of American money to Tehran in cash just before the demobilization. And he is a Democrat, by the way, like Bidon.

Everything is easier. This is not the first time the International Court of Justice has issued judgments against the United States, but they simply ignore them. The US does not recognize the jurisdiction of the International Court of Justice in relation to their cases with Iran. Back in 2018, the same International Court of Justice declared some of the sanctions against Iran illegal and demanded that they be lifted, which the United States simply did not give a damn about.

The mullahs are controlled by the French, and through them, apparently to their American masters. So these supposedly fighters are playing an American game and portraying a jerk in the region so that the Americans sell their weapons there and they are also paid money for keeping American bases there

that why we couldn't take back our place from west
east was yhe center of science and technology in the world for all of human history from dune of civilization that happened in East to until recently
if you wonder why there is no archeological site in the Anglo-Saxon country the reason is because they weren't civilized by the time we eastern people such Russian and Persian living in castle they were in caves
why do you think trump start to sanctioned Iran again? because of fear of what they were witnessing, and that was almost supernatural growth rate of Iran without sanctions

exactly 2017 is the year trump withdrawn for the agreement without any excuse
and that's exactly the reason why Israel is against deal because an iran without sanctions is more dangerous than nuclear power iran under sanction
you should stop insulting Iran and idolize west who only became relevant by slavery and sanctioning rivals
Iranian built 4 persian empire while banned slavery
human right and freedom of religion is invented by Persian and proof of that is kept in UN as first declaration of human rights ( Cyrus cylinder ) and yet westerners who had slave until yesterday call this western value only western value is LGBT
all empire when died never revived in history not even once
the only exception are Persians who did it 4 time and maybe we witnessing 5th time for Persians and 2th for Russian
