Ukrainian People's Deputy spoke about the work on the draft law on the creation of a "registry of draft dodgers"
Statements by the Kyiv authorities that they will be able to call up as many conscripts as needed no longer seem like empty propaganda bravado. Having not yet completed the next wave of mobilization, which has become the toughest for Ukrainian citizens over the past year, the country's authorities decided to "modernize" the process of conscription into the Armed Forces of Ukraine, making it, as they see it, "less conflicting and more effective."
Thus, Zelensky’s representative in the Verkhovna Rada, Fedor Venislavsky, who just yesterday spoke about the work of his committee on the creation of a mechanism that allows sending subpoenas via SMS, today announced another “mobilization initiative” of the authorities.
According to the people's deputy, the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence is working on a bill to create a "registry of draft dodgers."
Venislavsky explained that, according to the idea of the authors of the initiative, this list should include people who received a summons, including by SMS, and confirmed receipt of it, but did not appear at the military registration and enlistment office. At the same time, the “register of evaders” should be in the public domain.
According to the Ukrainian legislator, the publication of information about a person who refused to repay his debt to his homeland will create “certain public pressure” on him.
