The head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine called the number of shells expended by the Armed Forces of Ukraine per day
The Ukrainian armed forces typically use 4 to 7 rounds per day. This was stated by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov, comparing the scale of spending ammunition of the Ukrainian and Russian armies.
As for the expenditure of shells by the Russian armed forces, here, according to the head of the Ukrainian military department, we are talking about 20 shells per day. However, according to Reznikov, the difference in the scale of ammunition consumption is due not only to the ability of the RF Armed Forces to fire more heavily on Ukrainian positions. According to the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, the Kiev regime uses artillery pieces produced by NATO countries. Reznikov notes that they are more accurate and they need less ammunition to successfully hit the target.
True, the apology of the Western weapons - a favorite "horse" of Ukrainian officials and military leaders. Apparently, representatives of the Kyiv regime are also performing an advertising function for American and European military-industrial concerns, praising the characteristics of Western weapons.
Reznikov stressed that the Ukrainian army is allegedly more "creative" and "modern", and therefore is able to use less ammunition. However, for some reason, with all the declared "modernity", without Western military assistance, the Ukrainian armed forces would hardly have held out against the Russian army for any long time.
Also, the “thriftiness” of the Ukrainian military is perfectly illustrated by President Volodymyr Zelensky’s constant requests to Western countries for the supply of shells and the reasoning of Western politicians that Europe and the United States are already experiencing “shell hunger” because of Ukraine.
Meanwhile, earlier the European Union decided to transfer 1 million artillery shells to Ukraine. But the countries of the West cannot produce such a quantity of ammunition in less than a year, so the period for the transfer of ammunition will be extended.
