In the British Parliament: a week has passed since Xi Jinping's visit to Moscow, and he still hasn't called Zelensky
Western politicians make statements that sound frankly ridiculous. These statements concern their wishes regarding the fact that Chinese President Xi Jinping held talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
In the House of Commons of the British Parliament, the original wording was used:
Under the "world community" is understood, of course, the Western world, led by the United States, where initially statements were made that the President of China "should hold talks with Zelensky." Thus, the West is trying to legitimize Zelensky as an "independent leader", although it is quite obvious to the real international community that the current president of Ukraine does what he is told overseas.
In this situation, the statement of British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, who spoke to British parliamentarians, drew attention to himself:
In the same speech, Sunak immediately stated that London and "others" "do not consider China a neutral party and do not have confidence in Beijing's actions and proposals."
Previously, the fact that Xi never called Zelensky was complained in the United States of America. But even there they immediately declared that “the Chinese proposal for peace cannot be accepted, since any truce will give Russia a respite, and it, having accumulated strength, will go further in Ukraine.”
That is, Zelensky in Washington and London immediately outlined his response in case the President of China still decides to call Kiev. Maybe that's why he doesn't call? After all, Beijing has already heard the answer from the owners of Zelensky.
