Advisor to the Office of the President (OP) of Ukraine Mykhailo Podolyak reacted to the statements of the leadership of the EU countries about the fatigue caused by the war and sanctions.
Here is what he had to say about it on his social media page:
The Ukrainian people are also tired, but we have no choice. It is for this reason that we continue to do everything possible to preserve the security of all of Europe and maintain international peace. At the same time, we should all understand very well that Europe also has no choice.
In this context, it is worth mentioning the statements of Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki about the noticeable fatigue from sanctions that prevails in the European Union itself, as well as Slovak President Zuzanna Czaputova, who referred to a significant decrease in Bratislava's material capabilities to provide further assistance to Kiev.
The newly-minted president of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel, did not disregard this topic, declaring a shortage in the country of manpower and equipment to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The head of the Czech state also suggested that already in 2024 the West will not have time for Ukraine, since it will be actively engaged in its internal affairs, including the development of relations with China.
Meanwhile, in other EU countries, there are also calls for the termination of assistance to the Kyiv regime, as, for example, in Italy. In this regard, the head of the Italian Cabinet, Giorgio Meloni, was quite surprised by this "turn of events" on the part of the Italian parliamentarians, believing that by changing their position on the Ukrainian issue, they are acting "in the most treacherous manner."
