One of the candidates for the presidency of Turkey stated his position regarding the Crimea and the new regions of Russia
Turkish presidential candidate Dogu Perincek stated his position regarding Crimea and new regions of Russia. According to the politician, the Rodina party, of which he is the leader, recognizes all these territories as subjects of the Russian Federation, and, if necessary, will go for the recognition of Abkhazia.
He also spoke about his participation in the conference on the integration of Azerbaijan into Eurasia, held in Baku. During his speech, he spoke about the fact that Crimea is part of the Russian Federation.
Perincek said in an interview RIA News.
At the same time, the candidate for the post of head of the Turkish state shared his plans in case of victory in the upcoming presidential elections scheduled for May 14 in the country, promising to seek the country's withdrawal from NATO.
– said the opposition politician.
It should be noted that the Motherland Party is a center-left political formation with anti-Western views, adhering to the positions of the first president of the Republic of Turkey, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk.
Among the reasons for the republic's withdrawal from the North Atlantic alliance, the future candidate named the high support from the Turkish population of Russia and China, whom they consider friends. This is also due to the opinion of the majority of the country's inhabitants (80%), who consider the United States as a threat.
