Managed aviation glide bombs pose a particular threat, as they are capable of flying far and the planes launching them do not fall into the zone of destruction of air defense systems. This was stated by the official representative of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel Yuri Ignat.
According to the Ukrainian serviceman, about 10 Su-35 aircraft attacked targets in the Sumy region on the evening of March 23. More than 10 gliding bombs were dropped on targets.
This is an extremely big threat when guided aerial bombs, glide bombs can fly far, and aircraft do not enter the air defense zone.
Ignat said.
The representative of the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine noted that the losses as a result of evening strikes are being specified, they will be announced by the regional and city military administrations. Interestingly, information about air strikes on targets in the Sumy region was absent in the traditional morning report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
It is possible that the strikes were carried out on secret military facilities, which is why the Ukrainian authorities are slow to disclose details about yesterday's strikes.
Recall that the attacks on the energy and military infrastructure of Ukraine of the Russian Aerospace Forces have been inflicted especially intensively since October 2022, after a series of acts of sabotage by the Ukrainian special services on the territory of the Russian Federation. The first massive attacks followed the sabotage on the Crimean bridge in early October 2022.
