Order No. 1693-r

The fact that since last year the domestic aviation industry has been, if not in a dead end, then in a rather difficult situation, is not said only by the lazy. The situation is especially difficult with civil aircraft, most of which cannot do without imported components. Whether they will look for someone to blame for such a collapse is still an open question, but there are still attempts to solve the problem.

On June 25 last year, the government adopted an ambitious program for the development of the air transport industry until 2030. As they say, everyone understands everything. In the text you can find this:

“A negative factor affecting the development of the Russian aviation industry, became the sanctions policy of some foreign states, the consequences of which were expressed in restricting the import of critical technologies, reducing the possibility of purchasing foreign components and materials, as well as equipment in the framework of investment projects. At the beginning of 2022, the scale of sanctions has become unprecedented.”

The main role in this document is played by import substitution and expansion of aircraft production, but helicopter pilots are not ignored either.

The state's plans for rotorcraft are more than ambitious. Let's try to figure out what will work, and for what it will be necessary to do everything possible and impossible.

Ansat is a light helicopter unique for Russia. Only here the motor is Canadian. Source: rhc.aero

The most important challenge is, of course, the number of new aircraft that will be produced by the Russian Helicopters holding company over the next eight years. 764 helicopters must be in service! The main players in the upcoming emergency records are Ansat and the Mi-8MTV-1 series along with the Mi-8AMT. At the same time, the plan was drawn up for existing production sites.

For example, the Kazan Helicopter Plant, according to the management plan, was supposed to produce 111 helicopters last year (58 Mi-8/17, 41 Ansat and 12 Mi-38). At first glance, it is quite an adequate plan, given that in 2013 it was possible to produce 103 cars, and a year later - 107.

But after that, seven years of stagnation happened - growth was only in 2020, when 39 helicopters were assembled. A year later, six more cars appeared. And now it has more than doubled. The exact data on the actual results is still unknown, but in the four months before the end of last year, it was only about 44 built machines.

One of the most important problems was the banal shortage of skilled workers. They organized the "Bring a friend" campaign - ten thousand bonuses were relied on for each new employee who did not quit after three months. The personnel shortage seems to have been quenched. But what contingent? Yesterday's college graduates, or at best, retired from production long ago. Such will gain experience for more than one year. And helicopters, as usual, were needed yesterday.

A little about the assortment of the Kazan Helicopter Plant.

Until 2030, he must produce at least two hundred light Ansats, that is, approximately 20-22 vehicles per year, taking into account the past. This is the lightest helicopter in the Russian production line - the capacity is not more than 8 people. And just like the winged SSJ-100, the Kazan helicopter is very fond of foreign components.

The plans for 2024 include finding Russian suppliers for fourteen items - the horizontal joint of the tail rotor hub, air conditioning systems, propeller blade filler, control system units and much more. Complementing the similarity with the "Superjet" is the absence of a domestic engine. The Canadian PW207K waved his hand, and the Klimovsky VK-650V is still being developed. Ansat has been in production since 1999, but so far no serial engine from Russia has been found for it.

Added to this is the problem of servicing the engines of already sold helicopters - in 2021 alone, 17 helicopters were handed over to Russian operators. Ansat with the Russian VK-650V has not even taken off yet, and certification will take place presumably next year.

The engine, like all aircraft in Russia, is in great demand - it will go under the hoods of not only new helicopters, but will also have to replace Canadian units on several dozen previously produced aircraft.

Will we fly or not?

The tasks assigned to Russian Helicopters are complicated by a whole heap of old problems.

First of all, this is a chronic underfunding of the industry. On so-called R&D (research and development work), helicopter manufacturers spent a measly 0,8 percent of revenue. The lack of money for new developments in the civilian industry is a trend of recent decades. For the successful development and renewal of production, at least 3–4 percent of income must be spent on innovation. Better yet, ten. Then there would be no need to feverishly look for a replacement for the Canadian engine for the light Ansat.

Around the same time, another time bomb was laid - the lack of money for new developments naturally washed out the design personnel. If there is no funding, then why keep an extra staff of design bureaus? You can still save money and fire everyone.

In many ways, this is precisely why, in addition to Ansat, the main focus in the new industry development program is placed on helicopters of the Mi-8 family. The car is reliable and solid, but it is also based on Soviet engineering. Mi-8MVT-1 until 2030 should build 120 copies, Mi-8AMT - 156. If we compare with aircraft construction, then the fate of these machines is similar to the passenger Tu-214. Both those and others should for some time close the needs of the industry in aircraft. Until import-substituting and more efficient machines arrive.

In the case of airplanes, this is the MS-21, and for helicopter pilots, the Ka-62, the production of which should begin in a couple of years and gradually increase to twenty a year. It says so in the government decree. Only the Kamov machine has not yet been certified, and it seems that mass production in 2025 is worth seriously thinking about. The Ka-62, unfortunately, was created twelve years ago in close cooperation with former partners - the French Safran Helicopter Engines and the Austrian Zoerkler. The first supplied the engine, and the second supplied the main and intermediate gearboxes and part of the transmission.

Why didn't they do it themselves, the reader will ask. It is enough to remember about 0,8 percent of the income that Russian Helicopters directed to innovations, so as not to be surprised by such a result.

And if you can still somehow put up with an imported engine, then the Austrian main gearbox on a Russian helicopter looks like a shame. All story with the Ka-62 it shifts well to the right - this and much more was discussed at the last forum of the Helicopter Industry Association. Igor Panshin, sales director of civil engineering at Russian Helicopters, lamented:

“Today, Russia is experiencing unprecedented sanctions pressure. Now we are facing a non-trivial task: we are forced to mobilize all available resources in order to ensure accelerated import substitution across the entire model range of manufactured helicopters.”
.
In relation to the Ka-62, the approval of the main change, that is, the use of domestic components (VK-1600V engine, gearbox and transmission), is expected no earlier than 2025. The government expects to release helicopters in the same year with a fantastic run of 11 aircraft.

There is no talk of increasing the production of MI-26T2 / TS - only five vehicles in the series are planned until 2030. Source: rhc.aero

Panshin told many more interesting facts. For example, the Mi-171A3 is planned to be certified only by the end of this year. And in the comprehensive program that we are talking about now, at least five cars should become serial in 2023. That is, the program is not executed even now, at the very start.

For reference: Mi-171A3 should appear 49 copies in eight years. In general, the accuracy of the Russian Government's calculations is quite surprising. "Ansatov" - 201 aircraft, Mi-38 - 39 boards and only the exotic Ka-226 should be built in one copy.

Why the officials did not like the light passenger helicopter for 6-7 seats is unknown. No less amazing is the story of the 13-seat universal Ka-32A11M, which, according to government plans, should go into production this year. But the approval of all changes, according to Panshin, will not be until the next one.

Mi-8/17, it seems, will replace all promising new items in the near future. Because mastered and assembled from domestic. The main thing is to increase production volumes. Source: rhc.aero

So will we fly or not on new domestic helicopters?

Of course, we will, but, as in a joke, "low, low." More precisely - on the structures of the Soviet period. If even now the industry is not able to fulfill the order of the state, then what can we say about the future. The shortage of helicopters will have to be replaced by well-developed designs, mainly the Mi-8.

Given the even greater difficulties with the development of regional aircraft construction, helicopters on certain routes can become the main means of transport.

If even now the industry is not able to fulfill the order of the state, then what can we say about the future.

Before giving orders to the industry, government officials must assess the industry's capabilities.
This task is multifaceted and rests on many other tasks of a secondary plan that require an immediate solution ... talented organizers are needed here (not the Chubais, of course smile ) and a tough administrative resource to turn saboteurs, swindlers, crooks and pests of all stripes into a ram's horn ... our country has had experience in organizing production in extreme conditions since the Second World War and industrialization of the 30s.
Time will tell whether our state will cope with this task ... request it is necessary to judge by deeds, and not by loud statements from the depths of our government ... why what and with empty promises they know how to feed the people there.

Yes, the most important thing in the article is that it hit once again - there are no workers, that is, there are no workers and engineers, that's where the ambush is.
That is, the cries behind the fence of a lot of any replace is not the truth.
That is, capitalism is not an effective system, that is, effective managers once again crap one's pants while doing something necessary.
And saboteurs and other things are already applied, so petty pranks after pumping workers and engineering personnel.

This has not been true for a long time. But the truth is also that after Motor Sich left the integration, the question arose of creating a similar production in the Russian Federation. But not in Kazan. Siberia, Transbaikalia or Far East. hi

capitalism is not an efficient system

Capitalism can be forced to work for society for a while, of course - under strict control. On one condition - the export of capital from the country is PROHIBITED under pain of execution! And only in this way - otherwise everything will continue exactly the same.

Quite right. Here you can take China as an example, where the withdrawal of finance from the country is allowed, BUT only after the approval of comrades specially trained for this, who very strictly suppress all speculative forms of financial business activity up to the highest measure !! First, justify why you are withdrawing money and only after that get the good (or not). I think it’s unlikely that anyone will be able to provide sound arguments against such control, looking at the economy of the PRC, except of course the financial bloc of the Russian Federation - for them, financial speculators are a holy and unjust taboo, so the “holy” Gaidar bequeathed !!!

Nothing surprising from the word "absolutely"! Indeed, the ex-Minister of Defense Serdyukov, who became famous for how he ruined the Russian army by closing military schools, was thrown into the leadership of Rosvertol for "strengthening", which is why today there is a shortage of junior officers in the NWO! And during the war in Georgia, combat-ready units had to be recruited throughout Russia. And even with his mistress Vasilyeva, who adores the current natural pancakes, dragged several billion from the treasury! After that, the Investigative Committee took up arms against him and wanted to call him to account by laying him on a prison bunk. went to Vasilyeva, was the daughter of Zubkov, a man close to Putin. After returning to his official wife, the guarantor of the Russian constitution said that "now it's not 37 years old" .. And awarded Serdyukov with the Order of "Hero of Russia"! After that, the claims of the investigation to the "Hero of Russia" withered in the bud! In 2019, Serdyukov became the chairman of the board of directors of the United Aircraft Manufacturing Company UAC! Do you think that with such leadership there can be success in the Russian aviation industry?

This is called a social market economy, an example of such countries is Germany, the Scandinavian countries, France and others. It began in Germany in the 19th century, when they created the "Social Party of Germany", or the Social Democrats.

If the country has such things as an independent court, the right of private property is respected, then this is already enough to prevent large capital from fleeing the country. And under the fear of being shot, it is unlikely that any capital will be born at all. To date, the West has done all the work for power, cutting off the possibility of money transfers, but before that they had already withdrawn, according to various estimates, from a trillion to three greenbacks.

It won't work. There are no officials here - the social system needs to be changed. And most importantly - public consciousness. As long as the only measure of a person's value is the amount of money he has, not a damn good thing will happen in our country. For the extraction of the coveted dough - well, it does not imply any kind of production there .. Only extra hemorrhoids .. It is much easier to exploit the great Soviet heritage that has not been stolen and stupidly drive raw materials across the cordon. Or even corny to plunder the budget ..

Do you even understand the extent of the decline of the aviation industry?
You understand the consequences of the slogan of the 90s and 2010s: "It needs to produce nothing of its own. It does not need its own industry. More resources for sale. If we sell oil, we will buy whatever we want!"

I understand everything, but these slogans "we will do N extremely important things by YYYY!" I got tired of another year in 2012. Because almost nothing came true. Where is 2000 armat? Where are hundreds of Su-57s? Where is the new fleet? Where is everything that they promised to do until 2025? And now they offer to believe that well, this time it will definitely be. Issue 700 helicopters in 7 years (as it is not enough in fact - 100 a year, less than 10 per month.), And then proudly report.

In a neighboring branch, the US Navy is asking for billions of dollars for the supply of new missiles - and they will be delivered on time. Not the fact that without jambs laughing and necessarily with a rollback, but they will. Here is the fundamental difference - the West can communize money from the budget so that it remains for development and the defense industry, and not dry. We don’t have so much money in the country to cut, first we need to build the economy, and then make a profit.

By 2020, Russians will receive $2700 per month
In 12 years Russia will get off the "oil" needle
        Tatyana Zykova
By 2020, Russians will receive an average of $ 2700 a month, have at least 100 square meters per family of three, and the middle class will comprise more than half the population. At the same time, annual inflation will drop to three percent. Such forecasts are contained in the Concept of socio-economic development of Russia until 2020. Yesterday this document appeared on the website of the Ministry of Economic Development.

Experts are already calling the concept a "breakthrough scenario," according to which Russia will establish itself as a leading world power by 2020. Economic development, according to the new concept, will be carried out according to only one scenario - through the introduction of innovations. Let us remind you that Vladimir Putin said in February that there is no choice - "we will have to become a great innovative socially oriented power without giving up competitive raw material advantages." To implement such a scenario, the concept provides for the use of the Reserve Fund "in the context of a consistent decline in oil and gas revenues." The transformations will take place in three stages: 2008-2012 - preparation for a breakthrough, 2013-2017 - a breakthrough, from 2018 it is planned to start consolidating what has been achieved. In particular, at the first stage, it is proposed "to expand global competitive advantages in traditional areas - energy, transport, processing of natural resources." The second stage in the Ministry of Economic Development is considered as "a breakthrough in increasing the global competitiveness of the economy based on its transition to a new technological base" - information, bio- and nanotechnology. At the third stage, from 2017 to 2020, it is envisaged to "consolidate Russia's leading position in the world economy."

Since a person becomes a strategic object of investment, the concept assumes high standards of living for the population. In particular, government spending on education and healthcare will reach the level of developed countries. Polyclinics and hospitals will compete for patients, and prevention will become a priority in medicine. At the same time, the state will stimulate the development of voluntary medical insurance (VHI), including the creation of the possibility of pooling contributions paid under compulsory insurance. It is assumed that mortality will be reduced by 1,5-2 times, and the availability of high-tech medical care will increase from 10-20% to 70-80%.

The role of technical schools will grow in the educational sphere. Bachelor's programs will be created on their basis. But at the same time, fifteen university campuses are planned to be built in Russia.

By 2015, the country "will basically solve the problem of homelessness": the adoption and acceptance of children into families will be simplified. And by 2020, the life of single pensioners will be easier: they will be fully provided with care at the expense of non-profit organizations.

In May, the document, work on which, on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin, lasted almost a year, will be submitted to the government for consideration. The details of the implementation of the concept should be contained in the Forecast of Russia's socio-economic development by 2020-2030. The Ministry of Economic Development is working on it. Actually, this forecast should become a guide to the actions of the new government, which, after the inauguration of Dmitry Medvedev, Vladimir Putin promised to head.

And printing, all the same, is much easier and cheaper, given that the entire unsecured shaft of currency can be crammed into the natives, but again, in an amount no more than earned. From the fact that we have a resource-based economy, the principle itself spent what we earned remains unchanged. And in the West, everything will be filled with paper without any embarrassment.

well, mi-8mtv / amt ka-62 will not replace in any way: the class is different.
The high-altitude characteristics of the G171 to this day satisfy the needs of not only a domestic customer, but also a foreign one, including those countries in whose territory there are mountainous areas. And this is with old metal blades. With high-speed ones, it is worse, but there is a good backlog on the carrier system from the mi-2a38, but the problem remains that the metal ones have been mastered, which is confirmed by mass production, but the fiberglass ones are still at the R&D level along the way. For the same reason, the Mi-XNUMX cannot oust the well-deserved one: there is no series, there is no MRO base, and there is also no operating experience.

Helicopters are expensive. Absolutely everything related to helicopters is very expensive, and most importantly, it is far from always paying off. For our businessmen, both private and public, such a state of affairs is like a Faberge sickle. Since the tank cannot pay off, we will not produce tanks, but we will take the T-55 from conservation - thanks to the fathers and grandfathers, they riveted. Since the military fleet cannot pay off, we will pretend that we have it. With helicopters, exactly the same garbage - we will release a dozen BEAUTIFUL for parades (about like Armata, like Su-57, etc.) and we will show them everywhere so that there is an illusion that we can do everything ... And we ourselves will wait until let's wait and again everything will go in a well-known circle - oil there, helicopters here, gas there, cars here. That's the wrong country called Honduras ...

You can issue any decrees, defective managers will write development programs, but ... As there was a problem with engines, it remains so, engine building must be developed, and not helicopters like the skin of an unkilled bear to share. And for this, not programs are needed, but for this we need both machine-tool building, and metallurgy, and electronics, separately, by decree, several helicopters can be assembled, but no more. There will be motors, there will be aviation, and there will be UAVs, and shipbuilding, and the automotive industry ... Yes, everything that needs engines.

On March 21, 2023, the State Council Information Office of China (SCIO) announced that the country's authorities had initiated a large-scale anti-corruption operation codenamed Sky Net.
The goal of the initiative is to identify, search for and prevent the flight of corrupt officials abroad. In addition, under the program, measures will be taken to return stolen assets to China. The decision to initiate the Sky Net program was made on March 20, 2023 at a meeting of the fugitive repatriation department of the Central Anti-Corruption Coordination Group of China.
The goal of the initiative is to identify, search for and prevent the flight of corrupt officials abroad
It is noted that in the context of combating corruption, the National Supervision Commission will lead a targeted campaign to combat crimes related to abuse of office. It is planned to implement procedures to track down corrupt officials hiding in other countries. Such individuals may have their illegally obtained assets confiscated for their eventual return to China.
At the same time, the Ministry of Public Security of the People's Republic of China organizes the Fox Hunt program to repatriate economic criminals. At the same time, the People's Bank of China will help fight the disguised transfer of misappropriated assets overseas. The Supreme People's Court and the Supreme People's Procuratorate of the People's Republic of China will jointly conduct an operation to return to the country the stolen assets related to cases in which suspects or accused of crimes have fled or died. At the same time, the Organization Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China will cooperate with other authorities to resolve issues related to the issuance of documents that can help in the fight against corruption among officials.

Here it is, the Ka-26, far from the long-suffering Soviet helicopter.

    Thank you author. lol
And further, in order to compose an article on the topic of helicopters, one must at least understand the topic a little.
Then there will be an understanding that the Ka-60/62, Mi-38T, and even more so other machines are created not to replace the Mi-8, but to complement it.
Well, to blame this machine for the fact that it was created in the Soviet years is idiocy.
In aviation, such a concept as an ecological niche is also applicable. The most illustrative example of the An-2. Already at the time of its creation, the machine seemed to be archaic. Biplane, non-retractable undercarriage, fabric upholstery, piston engine.
But what an indispensable machine to this day. The main advantage of which was the cheapness of both itself and operation, unpretentiousness and maintainability in the field. Yes, then there were attempts to create an An-3 parallel machine, but only because we did not know what to do with kerosene.
The creators of all sorts of "Baikals", TVSs and other shit need to be hung on lampposts, for stupidity. For you can not change one car for another, which costs orders of magnitude more expensive.
So with the Mi-8, the layout and aerodynamic scheme hit 100% there. And the only expedient modernization is the use of new materials, avionics (but in a smart way).

Ansat - I wonder if they lift cars through a seryak, a warehouse or a transfer (there are 3 sets of power units at the level - we rent 9 helicopters with them)? As for the year 24 - extremely optimistic. This engine has not yet been removed from the stand and it is not a fact that this year it will fly at all (to LL). I am silent that this engine is new and it will have to be rolled very extensively according to the program, it is unlikely that it will be invested in a year.
Ka-62 - the helicopter will quite take a prize-winning place in the list of the most difficult-to-be-born helicopters, and with the Ka-60 an application for victory in the list of the most long-born ones (next year will be 40 years of development). Again, the year 25, this is within the framework of beautiful plans for a beautiful date.
A3 - this helicopter will be completely bought up. Given the termination of sales of Agust and Arbuzikov, in fact, the A3 is the only helicopter for drilling and other oil workers that is available.
MI-26T2 - emphasis on engines, the only manufacturer in Zaporozhye. The replacement will be by the year 25 + certification + shifts to the right + overload of the main production of PD14. Well, again, the Chinese abandoned it and are twisting something of their own, that is, 3/4 of the planned release fell off during the development process.

For light industry, they have been serving a memorial service for a long time. It is easier to steal money by taking it abroad, hence all the problems ... I have always been worried about the question of whether our state needs qualified specialists or workers and I have always found one answer - no. In 1933, near the village of Zakharkovo near Moscow (Bud. Tushinsky district of Moscow), at the built Plant No. 62 ((from December 1936 No. 81; from March 1942 No. 82), serial production of STAL-3 civil aircraft was launched, and with The production of fighters DI-1936, Yak-6, Yak-1, ANITA-4 was mastered in 1. During the war, the plant produced about 3000 Yak-7 and Yak-9 aircraft.

After the war this enterprise became the cradle of the domestic helicopter industry, here the first prototypes of the machines of the designers Mil and Kamov were created and tested, and their design teams were located in the buildings of the enterprise.

After the war, from May 1950, the enterprise began production of TU-2 bombers, later MiG-21, MiG-27, and the first Su-27 were assembled here.
And here, in the so-called (by narrow-minded people) "era of stagnation", experimental developments of the latest military aircraft were carried out. For example, the T-4 "Sotka" supersonic missile carrier was made, capable of flying at a speed of 3,5 thousand km / h. And later the glider (hull) of the famous Soviet space shuttle was made Buran.
In Soviet times, the company employed about 28 people, mostly all highly qualified specialists. For example, the salary of workshop foremen (according to their recollections) reached 000 rubles. per month.

In the "Yeltsin" era, the plant lost defense orders, as a result, 12 highly qualified specialists suddenly found themselves outside the gates. Then it was privatized (by firing the rest), and already in the "Putin" era, it was bankrupted and torn into legally separate pieces. It got to the point that buildings and structures were put up for sale on Ebay

And this is just one of the thousands of destroyed defense plants laid down during the Soviet era.
And now these Solovyovs from the zomboyaschikov assure that such enterprises these days can be built and launched in half a year.
Indeed, "The more ridiculous a lie looks, the more often it should be repeated to the people"

I'll say weird. It's not about helicopters. The point is the lack of advances in any alternative field of technology. There were no "asymmetric responses". I remember Khrushchev and his decision to throw all his forces into missiles, to the detriment of aviation, in which he considered it impossible to achieve parity with a potential adversary. The subject of criticism, but the plan worked. Air defense (weapons of the poor) did such a thing (S-75) that the Americans were unpleasantly surprised.

Helicopters are expensive and vulnerable, the Americans closed the RAH-66 Comanche strike project after 30 years of development, although they are now moving high-speed helicopters (Sikorsky S-97 Raider and its competitors) and convertiplanes, which are already the second generation (Bell V-280 Valor) will be released. We don't have it. And it's okay if instead helicopters did something different. The same "Shaheds" in tens of thousands. FPV drones by the hundreds of thousands. Based on their prices - a very real alternative, it would seem.

But they did computer cartoons and biathlons. And mansions - where without them? This is the problem.

There will be a breakthrough when screwless engines are developed, this will be a serious leap into the future. Helicopters have reached the maximum in the development of their kind, can be called an outdated type of lift.

Drunk EBN and his accomplices carried out a criminal coup d'état, replacing the socialist system with capitalism and turning the country into a raw material appendage of the West. At one time, under the drunkard, Prime Minister Gaidar labored, declaring that we do not need industry - everything you need can be bought in the west. Our leader, who received the right to supreme power from the EBN, continued the work of the drunk. But it must be admitted that he managed to correct some of the criminal actions of the EBN clique - he put an end to the parade of sovereignties and brought the country's economy into a relatively working state. And the thieves who appropriated the public property will always be dearer to their own pocket than some interests of society, the state. Therefore, there are no funds for science, R&D, education, health care. A long time ago, our leader said that a progressive income tax should not be introduced - allegedly, the rich will not pay. And punitive bodies for something else. But ordinary people are easily ripped off - and they raised the retirement age by as much as 5 years. They recalculated my pension - I will receive 11,5 thousand rubles. more. That is, only last year they seized 138 pence from me in favor of officials. fund and I don't know who yet. And how much was underpaid from 2016 to 2021? But the recalculated pension is not paid immediately, but after 2-3 months - people are old, and during this time many will put on a "wooden mackintosh", as our leader once put it. Of course, the authorities will find other opportunities for profit, but with the current attitude towards the concept of social justice, there will always be not enough money to revive scientific and design schools, the production of modern weapons, the improvement of cities, towns - and not just these Moscow, St. Petersburg .. ..

The main projection is the same. You can check the previous plans yourself 2000 Armat, hundreds of Su-57s and civilian liners, etc. With news in the future, you can secure a quiet seat in a warm place in the present. And then, and then something may happen, circumstances will appear, objective reasons, or everyone will be forgotten, and new plans will be brought up even more beautifully.

There is also a plan that by 2050 there will be no smokers left, the principle is simple, whoever wrote these projects thinks according to the principle in 35 years either the padishah or the donkey or me will die

"And what can the apologists of private property and capitalism say???"
Or from Gogol's NV (to paraphrase): "Well, what's up, Captain Russia?
Did your effective managers and the invisible hand of the market help you???"

Maybe enough dancing on a rake and it's time to remember and apply the experience of producing "Soviet galoshes"?

The author is narrating in a rather strange way. Tyap-blunder announced plans for the actual production of existing Mil serial machines. But for so long and carefully "licked" Kamov's rattles. And he gave a lot of questions, the answers to which are not difficult to find, with minimal effort.
I will say right away that I agree with the author that the industry is chronically underfunded, and that criminally little money is allocated for R&D. And now we have a total of 30 years of disregard for the work of design bureaus.
But I'm not talking about that.
"Ansatov"... This is the lightest helicopter in the Russian production line - a capacity of no more than 8 people.

Actually, no. The lightest Ka-226. 6 seats Ansat has 7-9.

Then there would be no need to feverishly look for a replacement for the Canadian engine for the light Ansat.

I would have to. The author "forgot" several important points. Ansat does not have a domestic engine, primarily because the developers never looked for it. This helicopter was INITIALLY created exclusively and only for the Canadian engine. At an early stage of development, Canadians simply donated a couple of engines to Kazan craftsmen to create a new helicopter. And the developers never needed another motor, none of them ever seriously talked about remotorization. The Canadians supplied their motors, the entire helicopter was assembled literally around this one single power unit. The machine did not imply combat use (after MAKS-2005, in any case, nothing was heard on this subject), and therefore no one ever bothered with import substitution. There are 50 Ansats in the Air Force, but they are for training cadets. So who and with what fright was supposed to make a motor for Ansat? If neither the developer nor the production plant needs it.
Now, when the Canadians were with more kandami than the Ukrainians, the fried rooster, of course, pecked and the stirring began. Maybe. Although I would rather believe that the plant will simply stop producing helicopters for internal

Interestingly, for Ansat, at first they talked about the VK-800, then the UEC shoved it (VK-800) to the UZGA, and suddenly the VK-650 “turned up” on Ansat.

Wow! This story got me hooked too! No, no, I'm not surprised, don't think, no ... "It's something worldly" (C) arlson. Money-goods-money... Back and forth... Hand washes hand...
But maybe win back somehow? Or funds for remotorization at VK-650 have not yet been selected? But when the money runs out, then ...

There is nothing difficult. Any helicopter for any money can be bought. You can even buy them in the "Children's World". The main thing is that there would be a place to store them.

You know why in Soviet times a lot of new aviation equipment was produced - because the Leading designers and their design bureaus were the main ones in this industry - for which all aircraft factories and engineers of these factories worked, and now you know who is in charge - these are top managers (maybe do not have a basic aviation education) how did they get into the aviation industry? (in various tricky ways, probably), for which the main thing is the sale of already produced aviation equipment (also in different tricky ways) and the development of budget funds (also in different tricky ways), but no one knows now who the leading designers are and what they do because the designers have become just hired workers, and even for a small salary ...

At the expense of transport, of course, it’s not that I understand well how much is required for the army. But as far as I understand there is no critical shortage.
As for the assault / strike, there is an opinion that the concept is morally outdated, especially in the condition of a glut of air defense, air defense, etc. space.
So funds are directed to higher priority areas, especially if they are extremely limited.
In general, the story with the Kazan Helicopter has been dragging on for a long time, there are losses and a long absence of innovative solutions and a change in a number of leaders.
