On December 12, 2022, the series “Casanova in Russia. Secret mission. But the premiere, which is quite natural, Channel One did not manage, and the series was released on repeat, and more than once ...
One could speak about this series, as PR people usually do, they say, this series is sex, lies, deceit and love, based on "historical events”, but this is not the purpose of the author of this article.
There are enough really explicit scenes in the series, but this is not so bad, and it’s not even alarming that the series was broadcast in the evening, until midnight, but the real blackening the history of the Russian state!
For quite a long time I struggled to understand the meaning and necessity of such a series, in such crazy monetary costs for its creation, the improbability of the advertising campaign and the principle of this whole wide-screen ridiculous performance ...
There were suspicions, of course, but now they have simply grown stronger (<< Some books would be much clearer if they had not been tried to be made so clear.>> - E. Kant "Critique of Pure Reason")
Judge for yourself, let's take at least one character from this series - Grigory Potemkin, a great man in all respects, an odious, key, historical personality.
It was he who founded the Black Sea Fleet, he was the first to annex the Crimea, Potemkin was the founder of the cities: Sevastopol, Kherson, Nikolaev and many others.
And in the series, he is a bribe taker, a sycophant and an embezzler of funds... Let me remind you once again that the series was created on the basis and under the auspices of the federal Channel One and, of course, its general director, K. Ernst.
We follow further…
The events that this frivolous series tells about take place in 1762, and here it is worth referring to the historical and medical information:
“Syphilis is a dangerous venereal disease that got its name from the shepherd Siphil, the hero of the poem “Syphilis or a French Disease”, published in Venice in 1530. Its author, the outstanding Italian scientist Jirolamo Fracastoro, gave the most detailed description of the disease in it. “This serious disease affects and destroys meat, breaks and leads to decay of bones, tears and destroys nerves” (Spanish physician Diaz de Isla 1537).”
“In 1762, the incidence of syphilis in Russia rose to such heights that Catherine II personally attended a meeting of the Senate dedicated to this problem. In 1764, doctors were charged with investigating who infected the patient; in 1775, “obscene persons” were already placed in strait houses and punished with batogs. In 1800, Emperor Paul I ordered that depraved women be sent from Moscow and St. Petersburg to Irkutsk factories.
I believe that not only I have a legitimate question, why do we need such a series, mind you, not a movie, but a whole series - 12 episodes ... And all this against the backdrop of the SVO, the law banning LGBT people, attempts to revive our primordial Russian / Russian values, restore pride in the history of the Russian state and raise the spirit of patriotism among young people ...
Most likely, the article will raise more questions than answers, but what can be said with absolute certainty is that you and I pay taxes not for such filming, such series, sorry, “about the plague of love and other amusing diseases.”
PS
Don't worry, to be continued...
