A number of Telegram channels of Russian military correspondents report that in Artemovsk (Bakhmut) the cleansing of the territory of the urban industrial zone from Ukrainian formations has almost been completed. This, in particular, is reported by the Telegram channel "Military Chronicle".

According to military correspondents, fierce battles have been going on in the industrial zone of Artemovsk since March 15. By the morning of March 22, Ukrainian formations began to retreat to neighboring positions. The fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine retreated to the area of ​​the elevator and warehouses at the Bakhmut II railway station. In addition, part of the Ukrainian formations withdrew to the area of ​​the abandoned hospital.

The Telegram channel claims that militants from the 207th and 243rd territorial defense battalions can be blocked on the territory of the Prommash plant. Probably, the retreating Ukrainian formations abandoned them, now the militants of the territorial defense can be located tens of meters from the workshops of the enterprise.

It is known that when Russian troops began to storm Artyomovsk, Ukrainian formations quickly began to build a fortified area with underground passages. According to them, the militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine can move to positions in other parts of Artemivsk. The presence of underground communications complicates the tasks of the Wagner PMC fighters, who play a key role in the liberation and cleansing of Artemovsk.

Now the situation of Ukrainian formations in Artemovsk and its environs continues to deteriorate. Since the Russian troops have taken fire control of the main supply routes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the position of the defending units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is becoming more and more difficult, there are problems with ammunition, as well as with the evacuation of the wounded.
