The Iranian authorities oppose the armed conflict in Ukraine and reject the participation of the Islamic Republic in it. This was stated by the spiritual leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, in his speech on the world political situation.
According to the ayatollah, Iran supports the resistance front. But the country has nothing to do with the fighting in Ukraine. Khamenei accused the United States of unleashing the Ukrainian conflict. He stressed that the United States is the biggest beneficiary of the conflict, and the fighting began because of Washington's policies.

Ali Khamenei stressed.
The West has repeatedly accused Iran of providing military assistance to Russia in the Ukrainian conflict, including the supply of unmanned aerial vehicles with which the Russian armed forces carry out attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure. However, in both Moscow and Tehran, the fact of delivery drones to Russia for their participation in the Ukrainian conflict is denied.
At the same time, in the current political situation, Iran is clearly on the side of Russia, which has taken the path of confrontation with the "collective West." Despite certain contradictions, Tehran is well aware that in the model of the “world order based on rules” constructed by the West, but in reality based on the global dominance of the United States, there is no place for an Islamic republic with its political and cultural identity. Like Russia, Iran has been under sanctions for many years, and now the best way out for it is to participate together with Russia in building an alternative world order.
