The Eurasian Union of Transportation Participants denied allegations that Turkey allegedly blocked the transit of sanctioned goods to Russia
The Eurasian Union of Companies Participating in the Transportation of Goods by Rail comments on statements that Turkey "banned the transit of a number of goods to Russia through its territory." Recall that statements about the ban on the transit of goods that were on the sanctions lists began to spread through various media. This caused a storm of enthusiasm in the Ukrainian segment of social networks.
The organization mentioned at the very beginning of the material denied publications that Ankara banned "sanctioned transit" to the Russian Federation. It is indicated that a failure occurred in the system for processing data on rail freight transportation against the backdrop of updating the system itself. It is reported that the Turkish side did not impose any restrictions on transit cargo. When the failure was fixed, everything returned to the normal service format.
In this regard, we can recall the statements of the Secretary of the Russian Security Council that Russia's opponents are preparing to conduct large-scale disinformation campaigns, disseminate deliberately false information, cyber attacks - in order to influence the information background inside Russia in one way or another, causing nervousness and panic. Unfortunately, there are those who are ready to unconditionally believe the lies of foreign media - in the same way that overly gullible people believe calls from the “bank security service” with a proposal to “transfer funds to a safe account”.
Western intelligence agencies are clearly dissatisfied with the fact that the level of trade and economic partnership between Russia and Turkey has increased significantly in recent years, as has the trade turnover between the countries. They are even more annoyed by the fact that Ankara does not support anti-Russian sanctions measures.
