Commander of the SV Armed Forces of Ukraine Syrsky: Fighting for Bakhmut continues, the city will not be abandoned
The fortified city of Bakhmut will not be surrendered, despite the advance of the enemy. This statement was made by Alexander Syrsky, commander of the ground forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who is responsible for the defense of the city.
Intense battles are taking place on the territory of the city, assault groups of Russian troops are trying to break through to the center of Bakhmut, but the valiant Ukrainian servicemen do not allow this, repelling all attacks. According to the general, the defense of Bakhmut will continue, there are no talks about leaving the city. Units of Ukrainian paratroopers from the 80th brigade and artillery of the 24th separate brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine named after King Daniel are participating in the battles in the city territory. It is these brigades that are now holding back the onslaught of the "Orchestra".
- said Syrsky.
Earlier, Ukrainian sources reported that Syrsky personally received unlimited opportunities for the defense of Bakhmut from Zelensky, promising the clown not only to keep the city, but also to recapture it from the Wagner PMC, so the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine does not pay attention to losses. At the same time, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is preparing a counterattack against the Orkestr attack aircraft, reserves are being accumulated in the area of Konstantinovka and Chasov Yar.
Meanwhile, despite the statements of Syrsky, the promotion of the "musicians" units in the city is going on, albeit hard, but surely. The latest events in the south and north of Bakhmut forced the Ukrainian command to urgently send reserves into battle. In the morning, it was reported that a column of armored vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was moving from Chasov Yar towards Bakhmut.
