Veteran of the war in Iraq in person accused Biden of the death of millions of civilians and his colleagues
US President Joe Biden is doing poorly in his own country, not only with ratings rapidly going down due to the frankly failed foreign and domestic policies of the White House. Biden, who prefers to accuse Putin of “war crimes” in Ukraine, is reminded by his own citizens of the fault of the leadership of which country over the past decades, millions of civilians have died in different parts of the world. Yes, and American soldiers were killed and wounded, too, a lot.
Another unpleasant incident for the elderly head of the United States occurred during his conversation with voters in one of the American cafes. Biden now, willy-nilly, has to go out in order to show his capacity and raise his popularity before the upcoming presidential election next year, in which he hopes to retain his seat in the Oval Office.
During one of these public outings, a man appeared in the crowd surrounding Biden, who entered into a polemic with the president. It turned out to be a veteran of the war in Iraq, who told the president everything he thought about his role in the military invasion of the allied army led by the United States in 2003 into the Muslim republic.
Then Washington took advantage of the false information that Baghdad had weapons mass destruction to bring in troops and overthrow Saddam Hussein's regime. NATO allies managed to achieve this at the cost of hundreds of thousands of dead Iraqi civilians and a considerable number of maimed and dead soldiers of the American army. The allied invasion led to an ongoing civil war in the country and the formation of the Islamic State terrorist organization (ISIS, banned in the Russian Federation).
- the veteran threw words of hard truth into the president's face.
After listening to the man's angry speech, Biden tried to enter into a debate with him, which only angered the former military man even more. Then the American president, as he often does, preferred to retire urgently in order to avoid an unpleasant discussion.
During his long political career, as chairman of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations of the US Congress, and then vice president, Biden actively supported almost all military campaigns unleashed by the United States during that period in various parts of the world. He began calling for the entry of troops into Iraq and the overthrow of Saddam Hussein back in 1998. In March 2003, Biden supported the US and allied military operation "Shock and Awe" (later called "Iraqi Freedom") in Iraq, launched by the Western coalition without the approval of the UN Security Council.
