A Russian Su-35 fighter jet was raised to intercept two US Air Force B-52H strategic bombers over the Baltic Sea.

The United States continues to carry out provocations near the Russian borders, the air defense forces of the Western Military District were forced to respond to the appearance of two American B-52H strategic bombers over the Baltic Sea. The Su-35S fighter was raised to intercept the strategists. This was reported by the National Defense Control Center of the Russian Federation.

As follows from the report, on March 20, air defense systems of the Western Military District detected two air targets moving in the direction of the state border of the Russian Federation. To identify targets and prevent violations, the Su-35S fighter of the duty forces was raised into the air.

A Russian combat aircraft over the Baltic Sea spotted two US Air Force B-52H strategic bombers heading towards the border. After the discovery, the crews of the strategists changed course to the opposite and went towards the countries of Europe. The Russian fighter jet returned to its base airfield without violating the state border of the Russian Federation.

It is worth noting that American aircraft have recently become more active near the borders of Russia. Literally nine days ago, the US Air Force B-52H worked out the attack on St. Petersburg, entering the city from the Baltic Sea near the island of Gogland, while being in neutral airspace. According to a special service that monitors aircraft traffic, the American bomber took off from Poland, after which it flew over the Baltic Sea towards a Russian city, simulated a missile attack over the Gulf of Finland, and then turned around and went to the base through the Baltic airspace. During the "attack" the American strategist was at a distance of 200 km from St. Petersburg.

According to experts, the number of provocations at the Russian borders will only increase, the United States will not back down from its task to destroy Russia in its current form in one way or another.

The British last "flyed" on 19 March. Until then March 15th. Actually, the US has already sent the MQ-4 after dropping the Reaper. So don't exaggerate the drop effect and come up with another Donald Cook. They just reduced their arrogance a little and began to fly a little further away.

The Americans will piss off, of course. But then they’ll take something good and shoot down a Tu-95 or Tu-160 during a flight near Alaska. Accidentally. The F-22 pilot began to choke (well, you know these respiratory problems?) and messed something up. And what are we in response? We’ll also be in the morning, because there’s nothing else left.
Let the Americans be the first to break the rules of decency. Let them hysteria. Those who get hysterical lose more often than those who sit calmly and with a cool head.

I’m wondering, is it possible to work out a couple of such aircraft with electronic warfare? If at one time Donald Cook was processed, judging by the patriotic public, then why is it impossible to use such airplanes? And then say - oops! recognized, excuse me!

      What is the article about?
the air defense forces of the Western Military District were forced to respond to the appearance of two American B-52H strategic bombers over the Baltic Sea.

We checked the air defense reaction: forces and response time, from a technical point of view, they completed the task, therefore, with a calm soul:
After the discovery, the crews of the strategists changed course to the opposite and went towards the countries of Europe.

Such incidents in the USSR were a wagon and a small cart. B-52s will not drop free-falling bombs, they have enough missiles in their arsenal that can reach our cities without them crossing our borders. Therefore, we can say that they can complete their task, if necessary, even before our aircraft can identify them. But during a missile strike, our aircraft may have problems intercepting all the "gifts" that the B-52 can release. From our side, this is just a window dressing, it was possible not even to approach, but to fly in a parallel course along the borders.

Under the USSR, when the Flankers appeared, as it is in the American way, they didn’t rise to intercept some kind of bullshit, but stupidly during working hours they drove everyone from the borders in pairs, planned, daily. 4 hour overflights of their possessions. And when the kerosene ran out, another pair stepped into the database. At that time, the Yankees did not fly on Mondays. It was very scary

4 hour overflights of their possessions.

This did not prevent NATO aircraft from approaching the borders of the USSR without violating them, but the number of such meetings was quite large and only out of the ordinary cases got into the press, and even then not all. Sometimes our and their pilots were weird, and this one, even from ordinary cases, everyone makes a sensation.
B-52s, of course, are not an ordinary case, and the reaction to their approach not even to the borders, but even to the launch radius of their missiles should have been much stronger and aimed more likely not at identification, but rather at a possible launch of missiles. In this case, the identification of the B-52 looks more like a show and does not correspond to the degree of potential threats. Shooting it down after launch, although natural, is too late.

Finally, the air defense border, from where NATO can drop their B-61s. That is, 100 km from the coast. Believe me. Our pilots threw out not such tricks as with Ripper. For example, an act of intimidation. When the pilots have sniffed the target and are moving away from it, at the same time, the ground air defense forces on duty are illuminated.

Was it not easier to take off from Poland to bypass Kaliningrad, enter the airspace of Lithuania - Latvia - Estonia and imitate an attack from near Tartu / Narva?
