Hungarian Foreign Ministry: Budapest categorically refuses to provide military assistance to Ukraine

The pressure on the Hungarian leadership from the European Union is increasing. Hungary is stubbornly trying to be drawn into the Ukrainian conflict.

Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto writes about this on his page on the social network.

They want to drag us into a war in a neighboring country, but we stand our ground, because the will of the Hungarian people is clear: we must stay away from this war

- says the head of the foreign policy department of Hungary.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs stated that, despite external pressure, Budapest does not intend to change its position and categorically refuses to provide military assistance to Ukraine. He will not supply weapons to a neighboring state.

Now Szijjártó, together with other foreign ministers of the EU countries, is participating in the summit, which is taking place in Brussels. One of the issues that was raised there concerns the joint purchase of ammunition by the EU countries for the Ukrainian army. Hungary is also being pushed to participate in this initiative, but Budapest has so far resisted such pressure.

The Hungarian authorities expressed their position even when the NWO was just beginning. They firmly stated that they condemned the supply weapons Kyiv and are in favor of solving the problem through peaceful negotiations.

Earlier, the State Secretary of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry for Bilateral Relations, Tomasz Menzer, accused Brussels of further fueling the conflict in Ukraine. He stated that, unlike European officials, the Hungarian government is for peace.

That's what it means to get cheap oil from Russia through a pipeline. Bravo Hungary! Independence is worth a lot.

This is a consequence of their position. But there is another aspect. Part of the territory of Ukraine, the Hungarians consider unfairly torn away. And if you have to return them, then they don’t “smile” at all to receive a “hello” from their own weapons ...

The return of quiet lands will be quiet and peaceful. Unlike Poland

Only all the squares in Budapest need to be fenced off and cordoned off by troops. Because there will be retribution for such a "bucking" - in Washington, the scripts-manuals of the "Arab Spring" and "Ukromaydan" are already being translated into Hungarian.

You don't know Hungarians. They measure freedom in the cost of electricity, gas and gasoline, they are very practical people, unlike the Poles and other Bulgarians. Don't bite the giver's hand.

They may not bite, but so that there is no American NGO in all of Hungary, their own "Svetka-Kotlets", "Guaido" or "Navalny" ...
There will certainly be those who do not know how to calculate the cost of electricity and gas, but they are very good at calculating American grants "to support democracy."

While Orban is firmly in power there

In the elections to the European Parliament in 2009, the Fidesz-ChDPP coalition (led by Orban) won a decisive victory, gaining 56,4% of the vote and receiving 14 out of 22 mandates reserved for Hungary, of which 13 were Fidesz seats, 1 - Christian Democratic People's Party.

In the parliamentary elections of 2010, the party in coalition with the CDPP won the majority of seats already in the first round of voting (206 seats out of a total of 386). Fidesz-PPCD candidates received an absolute majority in 119 out of 176 single-member constituencies, and in 56 out of 57 others they received a relative majority. In the second round, the Fidesz-PPCD candidates won in 53 of the 57 remaining single-mandate constituencies, and the single Fidesz-PPCD-Entrepreneurial Party candidate won in one more constituency. In total, the coalition led by Fidesz won 263 seats out of 386 (68,1% of the seats), of which 226 fell to Fidesz. After the elections, the winning coalition formed a government headed by Viktor Orban.

You are here not so much touching the Serbs as a people, but those Russians who felt themselves traitors when the NATO bombed Belgrade. Therefore, it is better not to stir up the past. And their government is spinning as best it can in the center of Europe.

What are you about ? What kind of independence? Hungary, with all of Europe, is voting for sanctions against Russia, simultaneously negotiating preferences for itself. Their policy is based more on pragmatism than independence.

Hungary votes with all of Europe for sanctions against Russia

Read the news, they not only do not provide military assistance, but also do not let military supplies through their territory -

All these years, Orban kept aloof from the liberal European trends, pursuing a fairly conservative policy. Apparently, therefore, his next victory was perceived as the final formalization of "autocracy in the very heart of Europe." Contrary to EU pressure, the politician adheres to an independent course in relation to events in Ukraine. He categorically refuses to supply weapons to Kyiv through the territory of his country - and now it is blocking another package of sanctions against Russia.

I began to respect the Hungarians after I visited several fraternal cemeteries of our soldiers, there is perfect order and care, although they fought against us ... a paradox.

Your problem is that you are confusing the Hungarians and their government.

They don’t give anything, and therefore, in gratitude, Brussels takes money from them, imposes fines and they have the highest inflation in the European Union. These are the consequences of not following the owner's instructions.

Just sit back and watch and "wait", without doing anything to help? THIS is why Russia has been losing for the last 35 years.

categorically refuses to provide military assistance to Ukraine

Yes, in fact, Hungary has nothing to provide this assistance with, even if it wants to.
Ground forces include: military command and control bodies, 5th and 25th infantry brigades (total: 5 infantry, 1 tank and 1 light/reconnaissance battalions), 43rd Regiment of Communications and Control, 64th Regiment of Logistics, 37th Engineer Regiment / Battalion, 34th Special Operations Battalion, 93rd RCB Protection Battalion[1].

Realistically, 7 combat battalions, of which one is a tank battalion.
In total, a little more than 20 thousand of the entire army.

Hungary does not want to force twenty-six countries through a veto to do what Hungary wants. We tell them that we do not agree with the sanctions and the supply of weapons. However, EU countries are not children, or at least we don't want to treat them as such. Therefore, we do not prevent them from making common decisions as long as we can be excluded from stupidity. This is not against Russia. We don't tell any country what to do. Hello from Hungary

Here is the latest news from the Tape

Hungary has vetoed the publication of a joint statement by the EU countries on the issuance of an International Criminal Court (ICC) warrant for the "arrest" of Russian President Vladimir Putin. It is reported by Bloomberg.

The position of Budapest led to the fact that the head of EU diplomacy, Josep Borrell, instead of making an official statement, made a statement on his own behalf. The agency notes that the position of Hungary regarding the warrant for the "arrest" of the Russian leader can be expressed at the next EU summit on March 23-24.

This concerns a joint statement, not a sanction. Also against international law. One Member State cannot be excluded from such a joint declaration. That's why we vetoed it.
