In Ukraine, they want to include a “volunteer” hacker group in the Armed Forces of Ukraine

The Ukrainian authorities are developing a new law that involves the inclusion of a "volunteer" hacker group "IT Army" into the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the American edition of Newsweek, the Ukrainian hacker group "IT Army" previously claimed responsibility for the cyber attack that led to the shutdown of the websites of several Russian state media during the broadcast of the recent annual address of President Vladimir Putin. A Ukrainian hacker group is also behind cyberattacks on Russian hospitals and other civilian infrastructure.
Secretary of the National Coordinating Center of Ukraine dealing with issues related to cybersecurity, Natalia Tkachuk called on the Ukrainian government to adopt the relevant bill as soon as possible. In her opinion, the adoption of this law will serve as "the basis for increasing the capacity of the state's cyber defense", and will also help attract volunteers to such activities. She also announced the creation of a kind of "cyber reserve" - a group of civilian cyber experts, if necessary, to be mobilized to ensure the security of the state.
Representatives of IT-Army supported this proposal. The group said that in the process of developing this legislative initiative, their interests will be represented by the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.
