The presence of weapons of mass destruction in nuclear powers

Entry

It's not a secret for anyone that threats to our state have become aggravated lately. So much so that a special military operation was launched in response to these threats. However, most of the Western media does not recognize our motivation for starting hostilities. Indeed, a large-scale information war has been launched, the purpose of which is to convince all the states of the world to turn away from our country, deprive Russia of imports as much as possible, and strangle our country. All the aforementioned threats that our state cites to justify its actions are denied or hushed up, thereby depriving the reader of the purpose and meaning of all the sacrifices associated with military operations.

Not surprisingly, a large part of the population of the Western bloc of countries supports Kyiv in this conflict. This article aims to provide evidence of the most terrible military threats to our state - threats to use weapons mass destruction. Even one attack with such weapons on the territory of the Russian Federation can easily bypass the whole year of a special military operation in terms of the number of victims, especially since in this case we are talking more about civilian casualties.

In the XX century there was a leap in the development of mankind. For 100 years, the lifestyle of the majority of the world's population has completely changed. More and more people are moving to cities, education is becoming increasingly important, and the role of rough physical labor is decreasing. Such progress has occurred in all spheres of human activity.

A little-known fact is that most of the changes in this period of time were due to the development of military technology: the first computer was built to calculate the shock wave of an atomic bomb, the Internet was developed by DARPA - the US Department of Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, there are many examples. Scientific progress in the military-industrial complex has led to the emergence of a completely new type of weapon: weapons of mass destruction (WMD, the term of the Russian Emergencies Ministry).

WMD is defined as types of weapons capable of causing massive losses and destruction, up to irreversible changes in the properties of the environment, with limited involvement of forces and means. The first thing that comes to mind is nuclear weapons (NW). But this type of WMD, firstly, is very expensive, due to the rarity of the materials used.

In addition, it is well documented: it is known which countries possess nuclear weapons, since at the moment the main nuclear powers possessing the entire nuclear triad (China, the USA, the Russian Federation, India) have not signed the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (UNTC). More terrible than knowledge about the presence of powerful weapons in the enemy is only the lack of knowledge about it. There are two more recognized types of WMD: chemical and biological weapons. Each of them was banned by the relevant convention: chemical - CWC, Chemical Weapons Convention, OPCW; biological - BTWC (Biological Weapons Convention - UNODA).

Thus, the presence of these types of weapons (as will be shown below, the presence is not questioned) is not advertised, as well as the capabilities of these means. If it is more or less known where and what kind of nuclear weapons our opponents have, and scenarios for responding to the launch of warheads are thought out, then in the event of an attack by prohibited types of WMD, everything is much more vague.

Again, the presence of these types of weapons is beyond doubt: for example, the United States is at least 6 years behind the schedule for the destruction of chemical weapons, in fact, they are still in service. They also abandoned the measures of mutual control of biological weapons, so there is no way to even check the implementation of the BTWC in this country. Moreover, various biological development projects of the US Department of Defense abroad create concerns about their security not only among Russia, but also among other powers (Threats to international peace and security - Security Council, 9033rd meeting).

Let's talk in more detail about other evidence of the presence of banned weapons in the Western bloc.

Factual Information
Chemical weapons

Let's start with chemical weapons.

After two world wars with horrendous humanitarian consequences, the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWCC, OPCW) was developed to prevent further casualties and harm to the environment. On January 13, 1993, the UN Secretary General opened this convention for signing; on April 29, 1997, it entered into force.

Each participant committed to destroy all stockpiles of chemical weapons no later than 15 years after signing. But, since the process of destruction of most chemical weapons is quite complicated, since it is necessary to minimize the harm to the environment during destruction, in some cases the period was extended: due to the huge number of weapons manufactured earlier, stocks amounted to tens of thousands of tons, it was simply impossible to destroy all these weapons in term.

For example, by 1990, there were 39 tons of various weapons in the USSR (NTI: Research Library: Country profiles: Russia Chemical), Russia, respectively, extended the period until 967. The United States also had a huge amount of chemical weapons, about 2020 tons, and for America the deadline was extended until 30. Thus, most of the countries participating in the convention for 000 have already destroyed all stockpiles of chemical weapons, including the Russian Federation, which destroyed all stockpiles of chemical weapons in 2023 (“Historical event: Russia destroyed all chemical weapons ahead of schedule.

But in our time, there remains at least one country that still possesses vast stockpiles of chemical weapons: the United States. America's chemical arsenal today is only a tenth of what it was at the end of the XNUMXth century. Officially, two weapons depots remain undestroyed: Pueblo Chemical Depot and Blue Grass Army Depot.

The PCD stores ~2 tons of mustard gas in ~000 shells for 780, although under the agreement (excluding extended deadlines) these weapons were to be destroyed by 000. The situation is similar in BGAD, which currently contains sarin, mustard gas and VX, in total about 2022 tons, and the destruction of chemical weapons itself began only in 2012. Over the course of 500 years from 2019 to 10, 2008 gas leaks were recorded at this base, which, judging by official sources, did not lead to casualties.

In fact, what is more worrying is the undisguised actions of the US (“US Double Standards in the Implementation of the Chemical Weapons Convention (2019) – US and the World – Union States – Top secret”). In fact, despite the fact that the military leadership of this power in various forums constantly declares full compliance with the terms of the treaty, some clauses of the treaty are distorted if, in the opinion of the leadership, they infringe on national interests in any way.

First, the United States initially ratified the convention with reservations that limited the effective force of the document. Such reservations include, for example, America's right not to let international commissions into its territory if they "create a threat to national security", thus effectively giving itself the opportunity to hide its violations of the convention.

Secondly, comparatively large dumps of American weapons were found in other countries, and the White House refused to assist these countries in their disposal. Thus, in 2002, the OPCW (Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons) confirmed the identity of seven aerial bombs and one pouring aircraft device found in Panama, and Washington achieved a verdict that these weapons were produced earlier than in 1946 (although two of these shells were produced much later).

Many weapons from the Vietnam War have been found in Cambodia. The OPCW Commission also identified them as belonging to the United States, but under pressure from America, Phnom Penh did not advertise this fact. A similar situation occurred in the Cambodian province of Svay Rieng in 2017, and this time Washington simply refused to discuss the negative, toxic effects of chemicals on the environment and the population with local authorities, and even more so did not provide assistance in disposal.

Finally, from 2003 to 2011, American and British specialists in Iraq destroyed more than 4,5 shells left after the fall of Saddam Hussein's regime without notifying the OPCW, most likely in order to hide their involvement in Iraq's chemical program.

This violation of the convention was also not investigated, the organization turned a blind eye to the actions of the Americans, due to the supposedly "extraordinary conditions" of the destruction process. In fact, back in 2003, the OPCW was informally notified of this incident. Also, the organization turned a blind eye to the fact that the United States from 2005 to 2006 bought out a huge (over 600 rocket-propelled munitions) amount of chemical weapons from Iraqi organized criminal groups, although this topic was covered by the media.

But that's not all: the United States has formed a legal framework that allows them to use chemical weapons in a fairly wide range of cases: from disaster relief to peacekeeping operations. In fact, the only scenario in which military personnel cannot use chemical weapons is during offensive hostilities (while during “defensive combat operations”, the use is not prohibited, including in “prisoner of war detention facilities”).

Herbicides, means for combating vegetation deserve a separate discussion. The fact is that, on the one hand, the United States and Great Britain do not consider them chemical weapons. On the other hand, during the Vietnam War, for example, the United States used the chemical Agent Orange to destroy the entire flora of the defending country. The task was to deprive the Vietnamese of the means of survival: it was an exclusively agrarian country, relying heavily on its agriculture. In fact, "Agent Orange" also has a significant effect on the health of the population and their offspring, so that it can also be used as a chemical weapon.

Herbicides are not the only poisonous substance that is still being produced on an industrial scale. Take phosgene as an example. It is a colorless, extremely toxic and asphyxiant gas used in World War I as a chemical warfare agent. Nowadays, phosgene is produced in the amount of about 8,5 million tons per year worldwide. This number is many times greater than the peak total stockpile of chemical weapons of the USSR and the United States combined.

The fact is that phosgene is actively used for the production of dyes. The same is true with chlorine. Chlorine is a poisonous asphyxiating diatomic gas (formula - Cl2) of a yellowish-green color, heavier than air, with a pungent odor and a sweetish, "metallic" taste. Chlorine is used both in the production of mustard gas and phosgene, and by itself can be used as a chemical warfare agent. Today it is 73 million tons per year (Chlorine - Chemical Complex of Russia).

Thus, at any time, stockpiles of chemical weapons around the world can be restored at once. When the CWC is terminated or when a country decides to withdraw from the CWC, the use of chemical weapons will not be long in coming.

Biological weapons

Let's talk about biological weapons in Ukraine. The Russian authorities have tried to draw the attention of organizations such as the UN General Assembly and the UN Security Council to the fact that there are several US-funded laboratories operating in Ukraine developing biological weapons of mass destruction that could be used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine during the conflict with Russia.

Due to the transfer of some part of the territory of Ukraine, where the biolaboratories discussed in this part of the article were located, to the jurisdiction of the Russian Federation, documents proving the illegality of US actions under international conventions fell into the hands of the Russian military and subsequently freely available. This evidence was demonstrated at a meeting of the UN Security Council by the Russian delegation. The only response to this statement was the accusation of the Russian Federation of using the UN platform to spread propaganda, no supporting documents were presented to refute the accusations.

Let's consider the materials of the RF in more detail. First, I would like to discuss the evidence of the existence of such projects, presented by the Russian side.

Firstly, documents were published confirming the cooperation of Ukraine with the United States and Europe (mainly Germany) in projects aimed at studying especially dangerous viral infections (Letter dated 18 March 2022 from the Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the United Nations addressed to the Secretary-General and the President of the Security Council).

It is the German Ministry of Defense in 2020-2021. implemented a project on the territory of Ukraine aimed at “studying the pathogens of the Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever, leptospirosis, meningitis, hantaviruses. The question arises why, if these are really civilian projects, the purpose of which is only to increase protection against infectious diseases, their customer is the German Ministry of Defense. This cannot but arouse suspicions, quite justified. The German Federal Ministry of Defense, according to the Western-oriented online encyclopedia Wikipedia, performs tasks related to the armed forces of Germany and the defense of the federation.

The biological protection of Ukrainian citizens has nothing to do with these tasks, so it is unlikely that these developments were carried out for peaceful purposes. At the same time, all the facts of cooperation are well documented, there can be no doubt about them. Thus, the interaction of the state institution "Public Health Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine" with the Institute of Tropical Medicine named after Bernhard Nocht (Hamburg) was confirmed by a document dated 19.08.2021, in which and. O. General Director of the "Center" L. Chernenko reported on the visit of specialists from the Hamburg Institute to Ukraine.

A “memorandum of understanding” was also published, which established the fact that the “Center” had carried out some laboratory research for this institute. Participation of Ukraine in 2021–2024 in the European project on the study of the migration path of birds carrying avian influenza (FLU-FLYWAY), has also been documented. Birds are considered to be good disease vectors as they make long non-stop flights, thus minimizing the chance of contaminating non-target areas.

Can a civilian project on biological protection of citizens consider such issues? Are such issues within the competence, relatively speaking, of the Ministry of Health?

Obviously not, since it makes no sense, from the point of view of biological protection, to study the issue of infection of some territories, excluding the infection of others. Such projects are closer in meaning to studying the zone of destruction of an atomic strike in order to inflict maximum damage on the enemy, while not harming their troops.

To all disinterested, incorruptible specialists, the true goals of such projects should be obvious. In addition to studying the migration routes of birds, Ukrainians, together with European colleagues, studied the lethality of bird flu, and work was carried out to identify its properties. Apart from the study of bird migration routes, this looks absolutely harmless, but together these two facts prove the illegality of the activities carried out by Western countries on the territory of Ukraine.

The interaction of Ukrainian biological laboratories with the United States is confirmed by a wider list of documents.

Russian experts concluded that Western countries were developing more than 30 biological laboratories on the territory of Ukraine, the purpose of which is officially to "monitor the biological situation." Meanwhile, the customer of these projects is the US Department of Defense. For example, since 2021, the Pentagon has been implementing the project “Diagnosis, Surveillance and Prevention of Zoonotic Diseases on the Territory of Ukraine”.

As in the case of Europe, this raises a lot of questions about the legality of such projects. Thus, in a letter dated February 20, 2018, the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine designates the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense as an additional executive body for the implementation of the “Agreement between the United States Department of Defense and the Ukrainian Department of Health regarding cooperation in the field of preventing the spread of technologies, pathogens and knowledge that can be used during the development of biological weapons” and requests a list of institutions and laboratories of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine that will participate in this cooperation.

Various documents have been published confirming the visits of American biologists to Ukraine in order to study dangerous viruses. For example, a letter to the Center for Public Health from Black & Veatch Corporation (a contractor supporting the US Department of Defense cooperation program with the Ukrainian Department of Defense) is in the public domain, which reports on the visit of Mariah Taylor and Evan Williams, employees of the University of Tennessee, to study the Congo - Crimean hemorrhagic fever and hantaviruses in Ukraine.

According to the MSD Medical Handbook, hantaviruses (or orthohantoviruses) begin with "sudden fever, headache, muscle pain, sometimes abdominal pain, which may be followed by coughing and shortness of breath or kidney problems." Thus, the disease affects both the lungs and the kidneys. Pulmonary syndrome leads to death in 50% of cases. Renal syndrome leads to death in 6-15% of cases, which is less. At the same time, for comparison, the coronavirus, which has been in the center of attention in the field of medicine over the past few years, has a mortality rate of ~ 1%, that is, an order of magnitude less.

V. Nebenzya's letter to the UN Security Council, dated March 18, 2022, provides further evidence of the illegality of the actions in question. This letter examines in more detail the interaction of US government agencies with Ukrainian biological objects. As noted earlier, the main customer is the Department of Defense - the US Department of Defense. A scenario in which this is indeed a purely civilian project seems very unlikely. Documents are available confirming the US funding of various projects in Ukraine dedicated to the research of dangerous viruses.

For example, data have been published on the P-781 project to study the transmission of diseases such as plague, leptospirosis, brucellosis, coronaviruses and filoviruses from bats to humans. We emphasize that the listed diseases are extremely dangerous, from 30% to 60% of the population of Europe became victims of the plague epidemic. The coronavirus epidemic, even in our time, with modern medicine, has overloaded the health systems of many countries and claimed more than 6,6 million lives in total, making it one of the deadliest in human history. During 2020–2023 funding for this project, transferred by the United States to Ukraine and Georgia, amounted to $1,6 million.

There were projects "UP-2", "UP-9" and "UP-10" aimed at studying anthrax and African swine fever. The memorandum approving the creation of the UP-2 project is dated January 11, 2018 and signed by US Department of Defense officials leading the nuclear, chemical and biological defense programs. The partnership agreement between the US Department of Defense and the Ukrainian Science and Technology Center, together with the Central Sanitary and Epidemiological Station of the Lviv Research Institute of Epidemiology and Hygiene, regarding this project is also in the public domain.

The continuation of "UP-2", dedicated to anthrax, was carried out in Ukraine by the Institute of Veterinary Medicine, the National Scientific Center "Institute of Veterinary Medicine", the State Research Institute of Laboratory Diagnostics and Veterinary and Sanitary Expertise. When infected with anthrax in the cutaneous form, without treatment, from 1 to 2 people out of 10 infected die. When infected in the intestinal form, every second infected person dies. In other forms (pulmonary, meningitis), out of 10 infected, at best, 1 survives.

The list of Ukrainian laboratories participating in projects funded by the US Department of Defense is also in the public domain. The registration card of the program for engaging in joint biological activities, signed by Deputy State Secretary of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Viktor Polishchuk, lists 31 centers involved in this kind of research. The amount of funding for the project is $32 million, which is also indicated in the registration card. The program testifies to the full-scale involvement of Ukrainian military laboratories in DTRA biological projects.

Further analysis is carried out in a letter from V. Nebenzya dated March 29, 2022. In addition to the facts of the participation of Ukrainian laboratories in programs aimed at the study of dangerous viruses and sponsored by the US Department of Defense, the facts of the transfer of various types of biomaterials by Ukraine to the US and EU countries have also been confirmed. So, under the pretext of treating COVID-19 from Ukraine at the Research Institute. Walter Reed US Army removed hundreds of samples of blood serum from patients belonging to the Slavic ethnic group.

The Public Health Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, under the pretext of determining antibody titers, sent 350 cryocontainers with blood serum samples to the Australian Dougherty Institute. Ukraine sent a thousand samples of blood serum from citizens belonging exclusively to the Slavic ethnic group to the Bernand Nocht Institute for Tropical Medicine, Hamburg, Germany. These samples are used in German Project No. 68727 EN: Study of Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever and hantaviruses.

Ukraine donated 5 samples of blood serum from Ukrainians to the Center. R. Lugar in Tbilisi and 000 to the UK laboratory. She signed an agreement to export an unlimited amount of infectious materials to the Loeffler Institute, Germany.

In total, according to the Russian side, the United States and allies removed more than 16 blood samples from Ukraine. A priori, the use of samples of a particular ethnic group in the study of diseases is suspicious. During the Second World War, the Germans also conducted experiments on certain ethnic groups, in the actions of the Western powers there is an analogy with Nazism.

The following letter from V. Nebenzya, dated April 1, 2022, sheds light on U.S. officials and companies involved in bioweapons projects in Ukraine. For example, Metabiota took part. Her vice president, Mary Gutierre, was a confidant of Hunter Biden, in personal correspondence with whom she claimed that Metabiota "ensures the cultural and economic independence of Ukraine from Russia." If the biological projects implemented in Ukraine are safe and harmless, then it is not clear how they can be connected with the independence of Ukraine.

David Mustra is also associated with the activities of Metabiota, who oversaw the monitoring and transmission of information to Ukrainian laboratories from the United States. Also known are the names of Robert Pope (head of the "Cooperative Threat Reduction Program" of Ukraine and the United States), Joanna Wittrol (head of the UP-4, UP-6 and UP-8 projects), Lance Lippencott (Black & Veatch employee , a contractor supporting cooperation between Ukraine and the United States, was the head of the department leading the UP-1 and UP-2 projects), Scott Thornton, who was responsible for the modernization of laboratories and advised staff.

Thus, there are plenty of documents and information in the public domain confirming the joint activities of Ukraine and the United States aimed at the study of biological weapons.

After the start of a special military operation, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine was ordered to urgently destroy the ongoing development of biological weapons. This is confirmed by the act of destruction dated February 25, 2022, in which employees of the microbiological laboratory in Lviv report the destruction of test tubes with cultures of microorganisms that cause infectious diseases in accordance with the letter of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, as well as the act of destruction dated February 24, 2022, which reports the destruction by autoclaving 322 containers with cultures of microorganisms - the causative agents of infectious diseases, which are located in the laboratory of especially dangerous infections (also in Lviv). Diphtheria, salmonellosis and dysentery pathogens were also destroyed in Kharkov and Poltava. Such haste can be easily explained as an attempt to cover up the ongoing development of biological weapons by the United States and Ukraine, which violates the Convention on the Prohibition of Biological Weapons.

How did the Ukrainian authorities comment on this? In a letter dated March 7, 2022, addressed to the UN Secretary General, Ukraine's representative to the UN Serhiy Kyslytsya calls "disinformation" the information disseminated by the Russian authorities regarding the development of biological weapons by Ukraine with the assistance of the United States, similarly to the information about the "dirty bomb", which, according to information the Russian side, prepared by Ukraine.

The Ministry of Health of Ukraine insists that there are no American laboratories in Ukraine, and refutes the fact of the urgent destruction of traces of conducting projects aimed at creating biological weapons. Kyslytsya emphasizes that "laboratory institutions in Ukraine perform one common function - the identification and detection of pathogens of infectious diseases that have significant epidemic potential and / or international significance and are subject to regulation in accordance with international health regulations."

In light of the facts presented above, these statements are most likely false. No solid documents justifying the actions of the United States and Ukraine were provided. Moreover, the question arises: why did these laboratories not investigate such a widespread disease in Ukraine as tuberculosis?

All international organizations turned a blind eye to these projects; no investigations were even launched. In fact, the UN took the word of the Western powers, although Russia had undeniable evidence of guilt.

Analysis

The threat of the use of WMD is a sign of the general tension in the modern world, which grows out of a large number of contradictions (“Assessment of the reality of the world war as the main tool for overcoming the global crisis, and its probable nature”). These contradictions lie in the disturbed balance of opposing forces: the free market and government regulation (in other words, rich and poor citizens), the Earth's ecosystem and industrial progress, real money and virtual, spiritual and non-spiritual, financial power and political, and finally poor and rich countries.

The priorities of the Western bloc are such that it needs to constantly put pressure on other countries in order to maintain its unsteady progress. The instability comes from the above factors: the financial bubble, the instability of civil society (as a result of the free market and the low level of religiosity of the population), the scarcity of resources in the Americas (in comparison with the large amount of available production capacity), as a result of the craving for power over the financially poor and the rich countries' natural resources.

Since the last century, when Russia was the Soviet Union, our country has been considered an enemy of the Western bloc. In terms of game theory, US politics can be described as a "zero-sum game" - an interaction in which each participant wins exactly as much as the others lose, the total gain is always zero.

Thus, the goal of the Western bloc has always been and will continue to slow down the development of Russia, China, Iran, India and all other countries that put their interests before the interests of the United States as much as possible. Recently, these countries have begun to unite against external pressure, as our interests have coincided. Of course, it will be difficult for Russia alone to resist the entire Western bloc of countries, but together with our possible allies, we make up the majority of the population, territory and natural resources of the Earth.

Chemical and biological weapons can be conditionally divided into delivery vehicles and the damaging element. In our case, the damaging element is some chemical substance (gas, liquid) or a pathogen, a biomaterial. Delivery vehicles are generally common to any weapon, interchangeable, so we won't spend much time on them. The chemical damaging substance, as already discussed earlier, is very simple and quickly manufactured.

Moreover, many industrially used civilian chemicals are poisonous and can be used in combat conditions. Thus, Russia can give a worthy response to a chemical attack. Pathogens are more difficult to manufacture, require long, painstaking preparatory work, and, according to publicly available information, such activities are not carried out in the Russian Federation. For research of such a plan, biological laboratories of the third or fourth level of protection are required (for especially dangerous diseases - the fourth).

According to the online encyclopedia (Biological Safety Level - Wikipedia), there are two Level 9 laboratories in Russia: one belongs to the Vector Federal Research Center, the other to the Ministry of Defense. Thus, if necessary, the Russian Federation could revive the production of biological weapons of mass destruction, but this is contrary to the moral principles of our country. On the other hand, there are XNUMX official laboratories of the fourth level in the United States, and this does not include laboratories outside of America and secret laboratories.

In total, if we do not take into account the air defense and missile defense of the Russian Federation, which may interfere with the means of delivery, a biological strike on the territory of our country may already be inflicted. The effectiveness of the defense rapidly decreases with the approach of attack weapons to the borders of the Russian Federation, so that biological laboratories in Ukraine pose a serious threat to us (especially if we consider alternative means of delivery, such as migratory birds, insects, migratory animals).

There are also concerns about the fact that in principle there are no laboratories of the fourth level of protection in Ukraine, and there is only one laboratory of the third level - in Odessa. This means that the entire surrounding area is under constant biological threat, regardless of the intentions of the Western partners who manage the laboratories. A leak of a highly pathogenic, specially bred disease can even harm people on the other side of the globe, let alone those who live in a neighboring country.

On the other hand, the use of prohibited weapons is most likely a last resort.

Firstly, there are a large number of more humane and no less effective methods of influence: first of all, informational, without any military intervention. If the authorities act against the interests of the United States, the local embassy and various NGOs can easily lead people to rallies by bribing a small number of influential citizens, as a last resort, start an uprising and stage a military coup.

NGOs - Non-Governmental Organizations (eg NED, National Endowment for Democracy): Most Western NGOs receive funding directly from the US Treasury and are engaged in the spread of Western influence in independent countries. Thus, informational influence is also an effective method of capturing states, which has been successfully used more than once in the countries of the post-Soviet space.

Secondly, if the Western bloc uses chemical or biological weapons, the economic confrontation will reach a new level. This will set a precedent and make it clear to all states that do not agree with the US political course: the presence of a “democratic” power close to the borders is a serious cause for concern, a threat to national security. American influence will be destroyed at the root.

At the same time, cases of the use of chemical weapons have already been documented in the territory of the special military operation. Such cases are not made public, but everything that happens in Ukraine is closely monitored by the world community, and after each escalation of the conflict, after the supply and use of a new type of weapon (regardless of the coverage of events in the Western media), there is an increase in tension, including among independent countries, the polarization of the world, the division into opposing blocs.

Most likely, our adversaries will not decide on the open, large-scale use of prohibited weapons, but will continue to covertly use them in local conflicts.

A direct consequence is the rallying of a block of neutral countries against NATO, which has a large number of negative consequences for the West.

Conclusions

According to the principle of modern science, called "Occam's Razor", in the presence of several contradictory statements, it is necessary to choose the simplest one. In our case, the statements of representatives of Western countries and Russia contradict each other, while the stated motivation of the Western powers, firstly, does not agree with itself, and secondly, due to the evidence presented, it seems extremely unlikely.

Thus, any independent scientific specialist is obliged to take the side of Russia in this matter. As mentioned above, there can be no doubt about the illegality of the actions of the Western powers within the framework of international conventions. Most of the countries of the world have long abandoned the use of chemical and biological weapons. This decision is fixed in world legal norms and treaties. Mechanisms for monitoring compliance with the conventions have been improved over several decades, and in most cases cope with the task. At the same time, unfortunately, other norms of behavior apply to some Western states in the world community, they are allowed much more, including actions that contradict the norms of conventions.

In addition, the spread of such negligent treatment of treaties to neighboring countries whose governments have fallen under the influence of the West poses a great threat. This behavior extends not only to disarmament treaties: a similar situation can be observed in the example of the Minsk agreements, and in the example of the NATO non-expansion treaty to the east. The general tendency to ignore international agreements endangers not only Russia, but the rest of the world.

Well, this is not a complaint against the West - what to take from the enemies, this is a complaint against our government as a whole, it is fraught with even minor violations, but here they rudely trampled on and in response only some kind of bleating ...

What scares me the most is the Kremlin's tolerance for these innocent pranks of the Pentagon and the US State Department with chemical and biological weapons.
You can't run ahead of the train like that, destroying your stockpiles of chemical weapons ... now the United States has the opportunity to strike at us with chemical weapons, but we don't.

there are a lot of letters, words, but the fog of the talking shop carries a minimal amount of information and meaning.

The article is designed for a scientific journal in terms of volume. As for water, in my opinion, on the contrary, it is still overloaded with facts. Nevertheless, thanks for your criticism, we will take it into account!

I wonder how this could happen. Russia destroys ALL of its stockpiles of chemical weapons, and the United States remains with part of the chemical weapons. Did those who signed the contract did not provide for this.

The use of chemical weapons has many peculiarities and limitations in terms of the place of use, weather, handling of weapons, etc. There is a lot of trouble, the effect is far from always necessary and predictable. in general, the value of chemical weapons on the battlefield is rather questionable. In addition, the latest generations of agents are more or less effective - sarin, soman, V-gases, binary agents, and they are also not easy to produce. And the whole chain from production to use requires almost more precautions than nuclear weapons, and the effect is incomparable.

In the XNUMXth century there was a leap in the development of mankind

The jump did not take place everywhere .. A huge number of the population of the countries of Asia, Africa and Latin America to this day arrive either in the initial stage of capitalism, or even almost in feudalism .. And some practice slavery to its fullest ..

A very well-founded statement of the fact that in this aspect we were also completely fucked up. And that is not very good.

It's a shame that such a large, detailed and detailed article did not particularly gain views.
