The developers of the transport aviation multifunctional platform TRAMP showed the appearance of the drone

The transport drone TRAMP, developed in Russia, is completing the stage of ground tests and plans to take to the skies in April. In the meantime, he continues to make runs along the runway of the airfield, while the developers are debugging its systems and mechanisms.

On the development of a new unmanned aerial vehicle, which received such an original name TRAMP (transport aviation multifunctional platform), was reported in early February of this year, citing a source in the Russian defense industry. About drone at that time, little was known, only that it was of an aircraft type, capable of landing and taking off from short, poorly prepared sites and delivering cargo to a given point by parachute. And here is the look drone was not known.

And the day before, footage from ground tests of this UAV appeared on the Web. As it turned out, it was really created according to the aircraft scheme, the wing is straight, located on top of the fuselage, the tail unit is two-keel V-shaped.

The drone has a large cargo compartment with a volume of 2 liters, which allows you to place bulky cargo in it. The flight range is declared at 650 km, cruising speed - 600 km / h and the ceiling - 195 thousand meters.

The developers position the drone as a multi-purpose one that can be used both for military and civilian purposes. The cargo compartment allows you to place various equipment in it, including those intended for reconnaissance, and the cargo hatch doors that drop down allow you to use the Tramp as a bomber for pinpoint strikes on enemy positions.

The drone has a modular design, which allows for quick replacement of the wing, engine and landing gear.

So they took it (only externally). Otherwise, modern components, which, most likely, were taken from those already produced in Russia. The simpler the better. For such purposes. Front Donkey! Good luck to the developers and without interference from bureaucrats.

downward-folding cargo hatch doors make it possible to use the TRAMP as a bomber for pinpoint strikes on enemy positions.

      cruising speed - 195 km / h and a ceiling - 3 thousand meters.

With such "outstanding" performance, the very bomber is the No. 1 target for an arrow or needle

When the fighters urgently need ammunition or take out the wounded, it doesn’t matter how the pepelats will look, even with Baba Yaga’s trough ... the main thing is that he does it quickly and efficiently.
I wish the developers the fastest completion of all tests and implementation in our troops.
For testing, you can give it to the Wagnerites ... they do not bother with any army bureaucracy and immediately get down to business.

When fighters urgently need ammunition or take out the wounded, it doesn’t matter what the pepelats will look like
This is ..., in general, this one, presented in the video, will not be able to sit down and take off from an unprepared site, as stated by the developers. Because the wheels are small, the clearance under the belly is even smaller, the vertical travel of the wheels is even less than the clearance under the belly. This time.
The shape of the fuselage, and hence the cargo compartment, to put it mildly, is not optimal for accommodating most cargo. In view of this, the statement about the possibility of placing bulky cargo on board looks strange. This is two.
You can go further. But this is enough.
The developers, of course, are great for not sitting, but doing their job. But the result looks somehow strange. Moreover, there are a lot of developments of aircraft of a similar dimension even in open sources, well ... a lot. Both domestic and foreign. Moreover, adapting them to an unmanned version is incomparably easier than developing a platform from scratch.
It would be understandable if schoolchildren or students of a non-profile direction did the work. They have a minimum amount of knowledge on the topic. But here... Or am I thinking too well about the developers?..

They are at least doing something in this direction, there are no others ... the first Sikorsky helicopters, and ours, also looked like handicrafts from the circle of pioneers.
I hope the next variants of cargo UAVs will evolve to more advanced models.
In any case, the direction of development of these aircraft is taken correctly ... the future of cargo aviation lies with them.

In my delusional initial opinion, this is, as it were, the idea of \uXNUMXb\uXNUMXbcreating a MODULAR, HIGHLY OBSERVABLE for air defense something. Straight lines and a sloping tail show that it is because of the more or less speed from the radars that it is intended. Modularity, this is already after the "wounds" if it reaches the "home" you can quickly change it. In a word, this is not at all for civilian purposes!

Who told you that you have to sit down somewhere? In the case of the BC, it is low enough (appropriate speed) to pass over a given point and drop the load. In the event of an evacuation, yes. Need a road. And stop blaming ours! Let's discuss Chinese balloons over homosekostan.

Well, you are right in general. They did not initiate R&D themselves, but up there. This is a normal justification for the "assimilation" of budgetary funds. Recently, we also needed to add just one detail to one product, in the form of an ordinary short pipe. They said at the top that R & D should be carried out on this pipe. The most disgusting thing is that this is an ordinary protective casing and there are already similar ones in the versions of this product. That is how we live. Moscow then needs to cut the budget. How else?

The shape of the fuselage provides rigidity and lightness, if, for example, a beam with fasteners for hanging a container is used, it will be heavier, a monocoque will not work due to large cargo cutouts, and in both cases it is more difficult, so everything is optimal - cost / efficiency if only .. (See prev post.)

And the view is real - three self-employed on a patent blinded from what was and it flew?

Then I’ll try to expand the replica, sorry, I’m not an aircraft manufacturer, but still:
      1. The device has a helicopter body and landing gear, but this is an airplane. Uncharacteristic avionics for an aircraft.
      2. He rides empty on the take-off, rattles like a bucket of nails. I don’t know what metal it is made of, but the designers didn’t think about composite materials. This flying metal square is clearly not worth sending to the line of contact. The radar will notice him when he is off the ground.
      3. Great idea to place the wing above the cargo module. Again, I do not imagine his ability to plan, but obviously, the landing speed will be too high to land on an unprepared site, especially with a load.
We put the wing on top, so make it with a large area and length, anyway this bucket with a motor will not show an outstanding flight speed.
But I understand that a large cast iron wing will simply break when shaking, but composite materials have already been mentioned above.
Well, make it out of plywood, Farman will help you, everything will be better.
      4. What engine will lift this miracle of aerodynamics, I did not understand from the article, perhaps the outstanding traction force will decide everything. But somehow it seems that the engine is at least small. And what length of run will be required before taking off from the ground is also not yet clear.

The design of the aircraft was clearly created under the impression of Andrei Nikolaevich Tupolev's ANT-2, however, no one says that it is not rational.

      Just more modern.

Appearance, of course, the device is miserable. let's hope that the filling is on the level. However, it evokes thoughts - is it really so neglected in the aviation industry? Once "Buran" was essentially a drone, and there the problems are more complicated, but here - a chest with wings is needed, and such birth pains.

This is big? Yes, the Mi-24 has a landing compartment, and even then it is almost twice as large.
Well, the most important question, where did we have an urgent need for such pepelats?
By the way, it was clearly knocked together from parts of dismantled aircraft, very rudely, even the ends of the bearing parts were not sealed.

The old man has two big wheels in front. This one has a small one.
Probably, there will be artificial intelligence inside, planting on three points. But somehow I don't believe it. And the fact that he will come to the ground at high speed with this one wheel is hard to believe. Although you need to at least blow through the pipe in order to understand how it will actually land.
Probably, a lot will depend on the distribution of cargo.
In this case, the failure of the landing gear during landing is extremely likely. Especially with a remote landing.
In my amateurish opinion, for the reliability of landing and takeoff on an unprepared site, you need a scheme with maximum planning, ideally, so that you can land with the engine off.
