Telegram channels reported an attack on a substation of the Transneft-Druzhba oil pipeline by a Ukrainian UAV
On the morning of March 3, an unmanned aerial vehicle of the Armed Forces of Ukraine attacked a substation of the Transneft-Druzhba oil pipeline. This is reported by the Baza Telegram channel, citing a source familiar with the situation.
According to the channel, the oil pipeline was practically not damaged as a result of the raid by the Ukrainian UAV. The drone damaged only a tank with a capacity of 3 tons, which was already empty. As a result of the attack, a hole was formed in the tank.
The Ukrainian drone was reportedly carrying an improvised explosive device. As he approached, four employees were evacuated from the substation. Fortunately, there were no casualties as a result of the Ukrainian raid. It should be noted that there have not yet been any official comments from representatives of law enforcement agencies or authorities regarding this raid.
It is known that recently Ukrainian formations with the help of an unmanned aviation regularly carry out attacks on various sections of the Transneft-Druzhba oil pipeline in regions of the Russian Federation bordering Ukraine. Such attacks aim, firstly, to cause some damage to the Russian energy infrastructure, and secondly, to demonstrate to the Russian side the capabilities of Ukrainian formations, if necessary, to carry out such sabotage.
Naturally, such sabotage activity by the Ukrainian side requires appropriate measures on the part of Russia, both in terms of increasing the security of strategic energy infrastructure facilities, and in terms of responding to the Kyiv regime.
