A grenade was accurately dropped into the hatch of the Ukrainian Armed Forces tank from a drone, causing detonation of ammunition
Russian troops began a special operation with a small number of reconnaissance drones. However, thanks to the massive deliveries of UAVs, mainly organized by volunteers, in a few months drones firmly registered in the combat formations of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
In the hands of craftsmen, ordinary civilian copters turn not only into an effective reconnaissance weapon, but also into an attack vehicle capable of inflicting losses on both the enemy’s personnel and his equipment. The most difficult target to destroy is the tank due to its powerful armor. Hitting it with VOGs, grenades and mines, which are equipped with drones, can lead to failure of equipment located outside the vehicle, for example, optical sighting systems, but the tank itself retains its integrity.
The exceptions are quite rare cases when a weapon flies into the car through an open hatch. This requires not only a fair amount of luck when searching for a “victim”, but also special skill from the UAV operator, who must hold the drone over the target, aim accurately and drop the ammunition with jewelry.
The Russian military published an example of such work. When flying around the front, the drone landed on the T-72B3, a captured tank of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on which the new owners inflicted white crosses, which have become traditional for the Ukrainian army. As a result of a well-aimed discharge of a grenade, the ammunition detonated, the car was destroyed, possibly along with the neo-Nazi crew.
