Ukrainian enthusiasts continue to create new combat systems, using Soviet and even earlier models as a base. This time, the “amateurs” used the Maxim machine gun, placing four barrels on one installation and posting a video of the application of the novelty.
It is not clear from the material what angle of travel the installation has in the vertical plane, and in connection with this, questions arise about its purpose. Judging by the fact that the fire is conducted on ground targets, it is intended to destroy not air targets, but infantry and light military equipment. Accordingly, we can conclude that the creators of the quadruple machine gun intended to achieve a high density of fire on enemy ground combat formations.
In the video, you can see that when firing, the machine guns lead strongly to the side, which indicates serious flaws in balancing weapons. Accordingly, it is not necessary to speak about the acceptable accuracy of the system. With such backlash, the use of the installation can harm one's own "comrades", especially in the heat of battle.
However, such enthusiasm, both military and civilian, is strongly encouraged by the Kyiv authorities, the Ukrainian media and resources, which present it as a manifestation of “patriotism”. Considerable importance is attached to the placement of symbols of Nazism or at least fascist music in such videos: the images of the Wehrmacht have become the ideological basis of the Ukrainian army.
