Overview of promising civilian AR-carbines for an intermediate and rifle cartridge
According to the author of the Lazarev Tactical YouTube channel Konstantin Lazarev, in the near future we will have a number of new products from armory SWC company. Meanwhile, the full-size AR-carbines for the intermediate cartridge of caliber 223 and the rifle 300 AAC Blackout deserve special attention.
According to the expert, both carbines will be presented in the traditional form of AR-15, with a direct gas outlet. At the same time, samples from SWC have their own characteristics.
In particular, one of them is the presence, in addition to the standard t-shaped cocking of the bolt, additional, located on the left side of the carbine. A similar solution is already being implemented, for example, in SIG Sauer carbines.
Regarding materials, the barrel, bolt and trigger are made of steel. The remaining elements are aluminum, which has a positive effect on the mass of the carbine.
Another advantage of future serial rifles from SWC, according to Lazarev, is the interchangeability of their components with other AR platforms. In other words, you will be able to "tune" your carbine to your own needs, if you wish, without experiencing difficulties with the choice of components.
Finally, as in previous versions of their carbines chambered for a pistol cartridge, in future instances of Sport Weapon Custom abandoned the shutter rammer. According to the expert, firstly, this component does not make much sense in civilian weapons. Secondly, it complicates the design. Therefore, the elimination of the rammer allows the company to simplify production and make it somewhat cheaper.
