Estonia has handed over a new package of military assistance to Ukraine, this was announced by the Minister of Defense of this country, Hanno Pevkur, who visited Kyiv the day before to meet with his Ukrainian counterpart Alexei Reznikov.


The Minister of Defense of Estonia arrived in Kyiv, where he held talks with the head of the Ukrainian military department. During the meeting, Pevkur announced the transfer to Kyiv of a new package of military assistance, which included small arms weapon, Drones and various military equipment. In addition, Estonia again handed over the Role 2 mobile field hospital to Ukraine, and again not by itself, but with the support of Norway and the Netherlands. In general, they paid for the hospital, and Estonia transfers.

The new aid package includes machine guns, pistols, drones, thermal imagers, generators and chargers, and military equipment.

Speaking about military assistance to Ukraine, Pevkur stressed that Estonia has already spent more than 1% of the GDP on it, having transferred a total of 400 million euros worth of weapons and equipment since the beginning of the conflict. True, I forgot to add that all the costs of Tallinn are compensated by the European Union.

At the end of his speech, Pevkur promised to "stand side by side" with Ukraine to the end and wished the Armed Forces of Ukraine victory over the Russian army, saying that Estonia had already defeated Russia 105 years ago, having "achieved independence."

    105 years ago, Estonia gained independence not because of its desire for independence, but because of the weakness of the state, which was previously called the Russian Empire.
    Politicians need independence. Sometimes the military needs independence. But, as a rule, when the military wants to become politicians, and decide everything in their own way.
    But those who feed these politicians and the military need a simple life. To know what tomorrow is going to the factory (you need 28 tractors a week), or in a cafe (there are a lot of potatoes and meat, you need to buy onions ... it will be tastier), or in a comfortable chair (you need to see where I overlooked, or mine missed )...

    Estonia (as well as Finland, Latvia, Lithuania) is much closer economically connected, well, or was connected, with Russia than with Ukraine.
