From the RAND report: Ukraine's goals are not identical to those of the United States
The other day there was a report of the RAND Corporation, which is worth paying attention to. The fact is that this is not an ordinary corporation, but an analytical center, the data of which has more than once become the basis for the strategic decisions of the US authorities. Accordingly, RAND reports do not come out just like that, when the report is only for the sake of the report itself. Based on this, the analytical report of the authors Miranda Priebe and Samuel Charap, employees of the mentioned organization, is of particular interest.
The main thing is written in black and white in the report: the interests and goals of Ukraine are not identical to the interests and goals of the United States. This is a certain “bell” for Kiev, in which individual representatives of the elites are for some reason sure that the United States is literally ready to stand up for Ukraine and for the interests that the Ukrainian elites voice and promote.
The same report says that a protracted armed conflict in Ukraine will eventually bring great problems to the United States. One of these problems is the weakening against the backdrop of China gaining power. If the United States takes years to withdraw its own resources to support the Kyiv regime, then this will lead to the fact that sooner or later these resources may not be enough for this confrontation with Beijing and the Chinese Communist Party.
The authors of the report also emphasize that assistance to Ukraine may turn out to be useless in the end, since it is “unlikely” to expect the Ukrainian Armed Forces to reach the borders of 2014, and even more so in 1991.
As a result, the speakers state that the division of Ukraine along "the actual line of contact is the most likely option at the moment." It is directly stated that the “Korean scenario” regarding Ukraine for Washington today may turn out to be the most optimal.
Earlier in Kyiv, it was stated that "no Korean scenario is acceptable." But who in the United States is ready to listen to the opinion of officials from Zelensky's entourage, if they are not in themselves somewhat independent and self-sufficient figures?
