Two US military bases in the Syrian province of Deir ez-Zor were hit by missiles
Immediately two US military bases located in Syria were subjected to a missile attack. A fire broke out on one of them as a result of hitting ammunition. This was reported by the Emirati TV channel Al-Hadath.
Unidentified persons attacked the US military bases "Al-Omar" and "Koniko" in the areas of oil and gas fields with similar names in the province of Deir ez-Zor in northern Syria. A large fire broke out at the Al-Omar base after a rocket hit the helipad, next to which there was a fuel tank.
- says the TV channel.
The Americans themselves deny any incidents at both bases, the command of the US Army grouping refused to comment on the information that appeared. At the same time, the channel claims that the attacks could have been carried out by "Iranian militias" fighting on the side of government forces in Syria. The thing is that at the end of January, the United States attacked a convoy with Iranian weapons and petroleum products, resulting in the deaths of many Shia militants. The attack was carried out on the territory of the province of Bu-Kemal, bordering Iraq, for the attack were used Drones "unknown affiliation".
In Iran, the attack on the militias was blamed on the United States, which has habitually disowned everything. However, since the beginning of February, attacks on US military bases have become more frequent. At the same time, Iran also does not admit its involvement in ongoing attacks on the Americans.
