In the Vinnitsa region of Ukraine, an alarm was raised due to a flying object
In the Vinnitsa region controlled by the Kyiv regime, an alarm was announced after reports of a flying object appearing in the airspace. Presumably, this object is a hot air balloon. It is reported that an inconspicuous object moves at low speed, but its type cannot be established.
The representative of the command of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Yuriy Ignat, suggested that a balloon was flying in the sky over Vinnitsa, launched by Russian troops to divert attention and deplete the ammunition of Ukrainian air defense.
According to the representative of the command of the Ukrainian aviation, such balls are filled with gas, due to which they are able to rise to a considerable height, reaching several kilometers, which excludes the possibility of their defeat with the help of small arms weapons. Often the balls are equipped with corner reflectors made of foil or a thin sheet of metal, designed to provoke air defense systems.
The purpose of launching such balls is to identify the positions of Ukrainian anti-aircraft systems, as well as to deplete their ammunition. It is reported that earlier similar balls were seen in the sky over the Kyiv region of Ukraine.
Earlier it was reported about the defeat by missiles launched from the Black Sea, energy infrastructure facilities in the city of Khmelnitsky and the Khmelnitsky region, as well as in Krivoy Rog. In communities across Ukraine, the strikes were followed by power outages.
