Rheinmetall is discussing the supply of the latest Panther KF51 tanks with kamikaze drones to Ukraine
Following the announced deliveries to the Kyiv regime of the main combat tanks German-made Leopard 2, in Germany they began to discuss the possibility of promising deliveries to Ukraine of a new generation tank of the Panther KF51 tank. Tank manufacturer Rheinmetall is already in talks with Kyiv, reports Handelsblatt, citing Rheinmetall CEO Armin Papperger.
According to the representative of the company, if the transfer of new generation tanks is approved by the German government, then in 15-18 months the company can deliver the first vehicles to Ukraine. It is planned to produce tanks at the enterprises of Germany itself or neighboring Hungary.
Recall that experts call the Panther Kettenfahrzeug 51 tank the successor to the Leopard 2 tank. It is made on a similar chassis. Tank weight - 59 tons. The tank is armed with a 130 mm cannon and a 12.7 mm machine gun. In addition, the tank is armed with a HERO 120 kamikaze drone manufactured by UVision. The launcher allows the tank to fire up to four of these drones Simultaneously.
The crew of a new generation tank consists of three people - a tank commander, a driver and a gunner. But there is also extra space in the car. Efficiency of management weapons tank is maximum due to a well-built digital architecture.
Thus, Western military-industrial companies make it clear that they are interested in the Ukrainian market for their products, since Kyiv can pay at the expense of European and American taxpayers. Another question is whether in 15-18 months the Kyiv regime will be "safe and sound"?
