Head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Reznikov announced the entry into service of the Ukrainian Armed Forces of the 155-mm Ukrainian self-propelled guns "Bogdan"
Artillery units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will soon receive the Ukrainian Bogdan self-propelled artillery mount. This promise was made by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov.
According to the minister, deliveries of the 155-mm self-propelled guns "Bogdan" are expected in "the coming months", contracts for the production of this howitzer have been concluded and the manufacturers swear not to delay sending them to the troops. Serial production of the Ukrainian self-propelled guns was allegedly financed last year.
- said Reznikov.
It is worth noting that for the second month now the head of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry has been talking about "fast" deliveries of "Bogdana" to the troops, but does not give any specifics, getting off with general phrases. It all comes down to the fact that last year the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine allegedly paid for the mass production of these howitzers, and this year, somewhere, someone began to assemble them. In general, after some time, the Armed Forces of Ukraine will receive an unnamed number of Bogdan self-propelled guns.
As evidence of the imminent receipt of "Bogdana" Reznikov shows a photo where he is sitting in the cab of a truck. At the same time, he claims that this is the Ukrainian artillery installation. Apparently, nothing but the cockpit fit into the frame.
Today, Ukraine has one "Bogdan" installation, which is dragged to all parades and exhibitions. After the start of the SVO, the howitzer was pulled several times to the front line for testing, and she also fired at the Snake Island. Tests of ACS were to be completed at the end of last year.
