Elon Musk's company introduced restrictions on the use of the Starlink system by military drones in Ukraine
The American company SpaceX decided to limit the availability of Starlink communications for the Ukrainian military. Recall that earlier the head of the company, Elon Musk, announced that he was not ready to continue financing the satellite communications kits delivered to Ukraine and, turning to the Pentagon, suggested that the US military department do this from its (Pentagon's) huge budget. However, then Musk decided to change his mind, and funding still continued from the company's budget.
Now SpaceX President Gwynn Shotwell has pointed out that the company has imposed restrictions on the use of the satellite communications system for military UAVs in Ukraine. Drones found themselves without connection to the Starlink system.
At the same time, Shotwell explained the position of the company as follows:
According to the president of the company, Starlink management has created conditions under which the satellite communications provided by SpaceX would not be used as an offensive weapon.
Thus, Shotwell actually made it clear that Ukrainian drones that flew deep into Russia (for example, reaching Engels) could use the Starlink system to one degree or another.
Recall that the other day a Ukrainian drone was shot down in the Kaluga region. He carried on board a high-explosive fragmentation bomb with a significant mass charge. Fortunately, there were no casualties.
