As Prime Minister of Portugal António Costa has now noted, specialists are currently engaged in the restoration and maintenance of tanks. When the necessary work is completed, three tanks can be transferred to Ukraine.

Recall that Portugal at one time bought Leopard 2 tanks in the Netherlands, and tanks already decommissioned from the Dutch army were purchased. Currently, all Leopard 2 tanks are part of the tank battalion of the 1st Mechanized Brigade of the Portuguese Army.
