The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation showed the combat work of the crews of Su-25 attack aircraft at low altitudes
The Ministry of Defense showed the successful combat work of the crews of the Su-25 attack aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces in the special operation zone in Ukraine. The crews of the "Rooks" launched missile strikes that successfully hit military facilities and equipment of units of the militants of the Kyiv regime.
In the course of carrying out the assigned combat mission, the assault aviation performed rocket launches in pairs from low altitudes. After the use of aviation weapons, the crews of the aircraft performed a maneuver during which heat traps were fired, designed to protect combat aircraft from being hit by enemy air defense systems. After completing the combat mission, the aircraft successfully returned to the departure airfield.
It is reported that as a result of an air strike, camouflaged fortified field positions and armored vehicles of the Ukrainian army were liquidated.
The main purpose of the Su-25 attack aircraft is to provide fire support to ground units. The aircraft is capable of operating at extremely low altitudes. After the missiles are launched, as a rule, heat traps are fired. The attack aircraft is capable of hitting targets at a distance of two to three kilometers. The unguided missiles that make up the main armament of these attack aircraft are capable of penetrating concrete fortifications six meters thick.
Su-25 ground attack aircraft showed very high efficiency during the Afghan and both Chechen military campaigns, the Syrian operation, and also continue to successfully carry out combat missions in the special operation zone in Ukraine.
