Dutch prosecutors say there is insufficient evidence for new MH17 crash trials

The investigation into the 2014 crash of the Malaysian airline flight MH17 near Donetsk does not have enough evidence to initiate new lawsuits. This was stated by representatives of the prosecutor's office of the Netherlands.
In an official statement, the Dutch prosecutor's office argues that, despite the fact that a significant amount of new information has been discovered regarding various individuals involved in the crash, the investigating authorities do not have sufficient evidence to initiate further trials.
Court hearings in the case of the downing of flight MH17 began in the Netherlands in March 2020. During the process, the prosecutor's office demanded that the citizens of Russia and Ukraine, whom the investigation found accused, be sentenced to life imprisonment.
A Malaysian Boeing flying MH17 from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur crashed in July 2014. All 298 people on board were killed. The Kyiv regime immediately blamed the DPR militia for the plane crash, but militia commanders said they did not have weapons capable of hitting air targets at such a height.
The Ukrainian authorities refused to provide data from their radars, and the United States also did not hand over to the investigation authorities satellite images, which allegedly recorded the launch of an air defense missile that hit the plane.
