The President of Russia called on scientists to ensure the technological sovereignty of the country in a short time
Within a short period of time, the Russian Federation will have to ensure technological sovereignty in critical areas. This was stated by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, speaking at the ceremony of awarding awards in the field of science and innovation to young scientists for 2022.
The head of the Russian state called on scientists to create or bring developments to a new level in such areas as microelectronics, information technology, transport, pharmacology, and the creation of new materials. This is necessary, Putin stressed, so that Russia can ensure its independence in the production of any product that is critical for the country.
Putin also presented awards to five laureates for research in the field of oil production, oceanology, chemical analysis, and the development of technology for testing complex technical devices. In the latter case, we are talking about work on a “closed” topic by a young employee of the 12th Central Research Institute of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, Ivan Fisenko.
Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences Alexander Osadchiy from the P. P. Shirshov Institute of Oceanology of the Russian Academy of Sciences received a prize for researching oceanological processes in the Arctic, including the Northern Sea Route.
Candidate of Technical Sciences Irek Mukhamatdinov received an award for the development of aquathermolysis catalysts for enhanced oil recovery. PhDs in Chemistry Irina Timofeeva and Andrey Shishov from St. Petersburg State University have won the Presidential Prize for research in the field of instrumental chemical analysis.
