Ticket offices of Russian Railways began issuing tickets to servicemen as a matter of priority
Servicemen of the RF Armed Forces were given the opportunity to issue travel tickets for long-distance trains at the ticket offices of Russian Railways on a priority basis.
According to the press service of the Russian Railways, together with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, a procedure has been developed that provides conditions for priority service at railway ticket offices upon presentation by military personnel of the relevant documents.
The new service is implemented as part of the electronic queue management system. In particular, on the electronic terminals installed in the ticket halls of railway stations, a button has appeared in the proposed list of services that allows you to issue a ticket using military travel documents.
Servicemen who have used this function are called to the cash desk on a priority basis. In general, issuing such tickets for military personnel will take no more than 10 minutes.
Issuance of travel tickets in this order is currently carried out at 57 major Russian railway stations, a complete list of which is published in the appropriate section on the official Russian Railways portal.
The right of priority for issuing railway tickets when traveling to places of service, for rehabilitation after treatment, as well as in case of other needs, can be used by conscripts and contract servicemen called up as part of partial mobilization, pensioners of the armed forces, as well as cadets of military educational institutions.
