Demolition of monument to pilot Valery Chkalov started in Kyiv
The scale of “de-Russification” in Ukraine never ceases to amaze. The authorities of our "Western neighbor" have declared war on literally everything connected with Russia, and with Ukraine, by the way, too.
Another victim of the madness of the ruling regime in Ukraine was a monument to Soviet test pilot Valery Pavlovich Chkalov, who in the summer of 1937 made the first non-stop flight from Moscow to North American Vancouver
Today, February 8, the dismantling of the monument to the pilot began in the capital of Ukraine. The corresponding video has already been replicated by a number of local media and TG channels.
Tellingly, the aforementioned act of vandalism takes place with the permission of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine. Moreover, it is reported that the department gave the go-ahead for the demolition of another monument. We are talking about the monument to General Vatutin. The one who liberated Kyiv from the Nazis.
It is worth recalling that last year a monument to Catherine II was demolished in Odessa. Now, on the pedestal on which the sculpture was located, instead of the Russian Empress, the Ukrainian flag is installed. In addition, the monument to Valery Chkalov was previously dismantled in the Dnieper (Dnepropetrovsk).
However, the Kyiv authorities are not limited to the “war with monuments”. In Ukraine, they are actively trying to “rewrite” history, positioning their state as the basis of all Rus'. Moreover, the queue for “de-Russification” has already reached the UOC, in whose premises the SBU is conducting searches.
