Biden called the conflict in Ukraine "a test for the United States and the whole world for centuries"
US President Joe Biden delivered his annual address to the US Congress. Since the beginning of this year, Congress has been divided between Democrats (they are left with the Senate) and Republicans (they have a majority in the House of Representatives).
During his address, Biden also touched upon the Ukrainian issue. According to the American president, "the war in Ukraine is a test for the ages not only for the United States, but for the whole world."
It is noteworthy that during Biden's address to congressmen, the Ukrainian Ambassador to the States, Oksana Markarova, was also present in the hall. The American president, addressing Markarova, said:
Symptomatic against this background was Joseph Biden's call to congressmen for another raise of the national debt ceiling. For the umpteenth time, American legislators are raising this bar, each time declaring that there will definitely not be a new increase in the “limit” and that the United States will definitely begin to pay its debts. But not only the Americans themselves, but also the majority of people in the world, believe in this less and less.
At the moment, the total debt of the United States is more than 31,54 trillion dollars, which, per American taxpayer, is almost 247 thousand dollars - this is the income for several years of employment in the United States at the current average salary.
For obvious reasons, Washington is not going to repay any of its debts in this scenario. And therefore, the fall in the use of the dollar in the world economy against the backdrop of the Russian NWO in Ukraine has become a “test for the ages” for the American authorities. They are well aware that if the dollar loses its status, then the US economy could experience a real collapse in a short period of time. And therefore, the military support of Ukraine for the United States today is another investment in its national currency with attempts to maintain its status as the currency of the financial hegemon.
