Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy Nikolai Evmenov supervised the progress of tests of the frigate "Admiral Golovko" and the corvette "Mercury"

Built for the North fleet The frigate "Admiral Golovko" of project 22350 will enter the Navy this year, the decision was made following a meeting held at the Admiralty under the leadership of Commander-in-Chief Nikolai Evmenov. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense.

The leadership of the Russian Navy heard representatives of Severnaya Verf, which built the Admiral Golovko frigate and the Mercury corvette for the fleet. Now both ships are being tested, the frigate is at the third stage, the corvette is at the final one, both ships entered the sea ranges of the Baltic Sea. In the near future, both ships will be handed over to the customer, but the exact dates are not known, everything was limited to the statement that the transfer will take place "this year."

It is planned that this year the frigate "Admiral Golovko" will become part of the Northern Fleet, and the corvette "Mercury" will join the surface component of the Black Sea Fleet

- said in a statement.

According to unofficial information, "Admiral Golovko" will be handed over to the military in March this year and will go to serve in Severomorsk, where it will be part of the 43rd division of missile ships of the Northern Fleet. "Admiral Golovko" is the second serial after the lead "Admiral Gorshkov" and the first serial "Admiral Kasatonov", but the first with a completely Russian power plant.

Corvette "Mercury" is a Project 20380 Zealous corvette built at Severnaya Verf and renamed in 2021. Laid down on February 20, 2015, launched on March 12, 2020, after which it was completed afloat. It is the fifth project 20380 corvette built according to a modified project with the installation of a new Zaslon multifunctional radar complex.

A "powerful" solution... right up to December 31, 2023, there is freedom of maneuver.... And if something doesn't work out? Then they'll come up with excuses...
Infa is stingy and miserable. You don’t see how the tests are going, nor what activities have been completed, nor what remains to be done, nor bottlenecks, nor successes and achievements ...
      No - NOT ICE !!!

Actually, just the other day there was a statement that "Golovko" would be handed over to the customer and raise the flag in March of this year. And the delivery of the 4th ship of this series "Admiral Isakov" to the customer is scheduled for December. And although very little time has passed since the start of factory sea trials (for the new power plant), it was stated that the tests were successful.
        Of course, no details.
So, obviously, they don’t expect a dirty trick with the power plant (they brought it up for a painfully long time), but they announced the signing of an order for six new frigates with the Amur Shipyard this year. True, since it is stated that contracts will be signed not only for 22350, but also for 22350M, it is likely that four 22350s will be contracted at the Amur Shipyard, and two 22350Ms at Severnaya Verf, with a laying in a new boathouse.

Of course plans are a good thing! But, with the eling is not a solved problem. Customers change, but the boathouse has not been put into operation. Of course, I would like to lay two hulls of the 22350M frigate there this year!
Under it, they are already preparing a missile with a range of 400 km.

Both 22350 and 22350M are announced for signing the contract. I do not think that the 22350M will be the first to be laid in Komsomolsk, the lead and the first serial only in St. Petersburg, which means ... So they will be laid in the new boathouse.

Yes, not missiles, the entire air defense system will be new - and the radar, and all the hardware, and modified UKKS for missiles. Now they will test this one on the Admiral Nakhimov, it will most likely go to factory tests this year. And next year, together with the "Admiral Kuznetsov" into operation. So in 2024 the Northern Fleet will be very much strengthened - 4 new frigates, two modernized 1155, a modernized "Sarych", a nuclear "Nakhimov" and an aircraft carrier "Kuznetsov" + even earlier modernized "Marshal Ustinov". And these are only the main surface. Submarine forces will also grow.
But with other fleets it’s more difficult ... they still have to wait for ships of the main classes. It's a shame especially for the Black Sea Fleet.

SAM with a range of 400 km.

Such a missile simply exists - from the S-400. But the radar will most likely be based on the MFRS modules from the S-500 ... this is already AFAR. And the first such radar will be at Nakhimov.

              Good evening!
              modernized "Sarych"

Sarych? Maybe you accidentally confused with 1155.1, Admiral Chabanenko?

It is "Sarych" that is the only destroyer of the Northern Fleet. He will be replaced with boilers, capitalized turbo-gear units, updated avionics and armament. The exact appearance of the modernization is unknown, but if there is the modernization project that was prepared for all "Sarychs" in the late Union (during their medium repairs), then four UKKS should stand instead of the aft tower.
But even if they just recapitalize, update the radar and replace the beam air defense system with the "Shtilya" launcher, and replace the "Mosquitoes" ... even with the X-35, it will make a good escort for the landing forces for another 15 years.

                1155.1, Admiral Chabanenko?

There is already the second 1155 on modernization and should be out of it by the end of 2024.
By the way, "Admiral Ushakov" ("Sarych" of the Northern Fleet) can get out of repair and modernization even this year. It all depends on the depth of modernization.
"Persistent" - the flagship of the Baltic Fleet is also now under repair.

The "Sarychs" were lucky - they have the same boilers as on the "Kuznetsov", so after being replaced on the "last aircraft carrier of the Empire", they decided to replace, and at the same time capitalize, the remaining "Sarychs". So the old people will live.

And why is it offensive to the Black Sea Fleet? There is a lot of new stuff that others have not dreamed of. 6 new diesel-electric submarines - a complete set laid down by the state. 3 new frigates 20356 .... there are already several new RTOs. So there would be a new flagship .. in the form of at least 22350 - if it’s urgent .. and then you can 22350m later

This is respect to you, for your opus!)))
Ships are built and launched depends on many factors. Enough ranting, two frigates were laid down in 2019 and two in 2020, you think Our shipbuilders are not working as fast as the Chinese and Americans. But, surprisingly, English shipbuilders (kings of the seas) work even more slowly !!!

Isakov was not even launched into the water ....... completion - at least another 2 years. after the descent ..... it's just asshole !!!.

In fact, he was completing construction on the slipway while the power plant was waiting. So they will be launched into the water in a much greater degree of readiness than is usually accepted, therefore the completion time afloat has been reduced. You are not surprised that submarines are launched in a high degree of readiness, are they? So "Isakov" on the slipway was brought to such a high degree of readiness.
And for comparison and a guideline for the construction time of the ship, when cooperation and the technical process are debugged, look at the construction time of frigates pr. 11356 for the Black Sea Fleet on Yantar - 3,5 years from laying to delivery to the Fleet. For frigates 22350, now nothing prevents them from being built in normal time, and not waiting on the slipway first for air defense systems, then for power plants. Now frigates 22350 can be built in 4 years.
Moreover, now to adjust both the pace and orders for new ones, not only the command of the Fleet and the Ministry of Defense, but also domestic business, which last year alone purchased up to 500 large and very large merchant ships (tankers, gas carriers, dry cargo carriers, container ships) will spur on.. And they SHOULD be protected. Provide them with freedom of navigation in the World Ocean. And for such purposes, just frigates are needed. So they are laying ... Business is worried. bully

The question is the same - what is there with missile defense? Or after "Moscow" - "let them choke"?

Actually, the ships have air defense systems, and one of the best in the world is Poliment-Redut, which is a naval version of the S-350 air defense system. This is a very good SAM - SAM with AGSN.

Read and receive information. He chuckled and spontaneously asked himself the question: “Where is the Red Banner Black Sea Fleet now, as a combat, active unit,” and what combat, real tasks, besides launching Caliber, does it perform?
Specialists from the fleet, please answer.

The fleet in Russia, as has been customary since the time of the tsar father, is not to fight, but on its own - something is being built, something is being tested. An aircraft carrier went to Syria .... It would be better if he didn't.
The war is on, but where is the fleet? In the same place where during the Great Patriotic War - hiding in the bays, Flaman went out to the bottom.
So, sailors? The infantry is fighting, the flyers are flying, and what are you doing?
