The head of the Russian Foreign Ministry recalled the supply of aircraft equipment by Russia to Mali and spoke about the prospects for further cooperation between the countries

Russia and Mali continue to strengthen partnership relations. Recall that in 2019, the heads of the Defense Ministry of the two countries signed an agreement on military cooperation.

Today, February 7, speaking at a press conference as part of a working visit to this African country, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov recalled that on January 19 of this year, Russia had already delivered the second batch of aircraft to Mali. According to the minister, among other things, Su-25 and L-39 fighters, as well as Mi-24P and Mi-8 helicopters were handed over.

At the same time, the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry said that Moscow plans to further strengthen partnerships with Bamako. In particular, options are already being considered with additional deliveries of military equipment by Russia to Mali. In addition, in the future, the Malian military will be able to be trained in Russian universities.

However, the relationship between countries is not limited to the military sphere. According to Lavrov, the trade turnover between Russia and Mali is growing at a fairly rapid pace.

As the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry put it, our country hopes that deliveries of Russian oil products, fertilizers and food to this African country will begin in the near future.

The Russian minister did not bypass the topic of the Wagner PMC, which has been in Mali since 2021 according to the official appeal of the country's authorities with a request to help in the fight against terrorism. The United States calls on the UNPO to investigate the "crimes" of Russian PMCs in Africa.

According to Sergei Lavrov, the UN is not empowered to investigate war crimes, regardless of who committed or did not commit them.

Recall that earlier in PMC "Wagner" in response to American insinuations, they issued a document in which the authorities of the United States, Canada and Britain are recognized as illegitimate, since their policy is aimed at supporting international terrorism, which the Russian PMC, as noted, is fighting at different points. planets.

Su-25 is not produced, there is no replacement. There are hostilities, is it reasonable to supply them?

as you can see, the risk of a foreign invasion of Mali (including from the air) is extremely high, and the already delivered equipment and people also need to be covered with something

Wagner did a pretty good job of kicking the French frog-eaters out of Mali. Pressed the global west in terms of resources. Especially in the deposits of lithium, which is needed for electric batteries. Well, it’s good that they gained combat experience in advance - now they are tearing the enemy in Artemovsk, so that only feathers fly.

Again, debts will have to be written off, that is, "restructured". This is not on their own money, but on blacks - "a holy cause."

Just in case: "Mali is an agrarian country. It is one of the least developed countries in the world.
It is the largest cotton exporter in the region and ranks third in Africa in terms of gold mining. Gold is the main source of income. Every year the country produces up to 50 tons of precious metal. Gold mining accounts for 20% of the country's GDP and about 70% of exports. The explored gold reserves of the deposits of the Falemé belt (near the border with Senegal) amounted to 470-490 tons as of 2006.
    "Export: $3,036 billion (2017)
Exports - commodities: cotton, gold, livestock
    Export partners: Switzerland - 31,8%, UAE - 15,4%, Burkina Faso - 7,8%, Côte d'Ivoire - 7,3%, South Africa - 5%
    Import: $ 3,191 billion (2017)
Import articles: fuel, machinery and equipment, food
    Import partners: Senegal - 24,4%, China - 13,2%, Côte d'Ivoire - 9%, France - 7,3%. There is no palm oil there...

Well, why do we need these blacks, we ourselves live like blacks in the same conditions, the country is essentially a raw materials appendage, it doesn’t have its own electronics, it doesn’t develop economically. You don’t need to drive such foreign ministers and the government.

Yes, these, ahem, commentators do not care if there is oil there or not. Their task is to cheat Russia under each article, even if it turns out to cheat only themselves. Such work...
