Vice Speaker of the Parliament of Moldova: The probability of holding early elections in the country is only growing

Vice speaker of the Parliament of Moldova and executive secretary of the Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova (PSRM) Vlad Batrincha said that the ruling majority ignores the Moldovan society, not listening to their problems at all.

In this regard, the deputy chairman of the Moldovan legislative body did not rule out the possibility of holding early elections in the country, since, according to him, people's dissatisfaction with the policy pursued by the current government is only increasing.

This is how the politician commented on the current political situation in the republic in an interview TASS:

Parliamentary elections today are really necessary because people want real changes, a different government - more responsible and efficient. We believe that there are many prerequisites for this. People express their dissatisfaction with the authorities every day, and therefore, the situation is developing in such a way that they [the authorities] themselves will eventually want to go to early parliamentary elections, since they simply will not have any other options

At the same time, the PSRM member added that neither the government nor the parliament today are coping with the problems facing the country.

For more than a year - this has not happened in all history our independence, the state of emergency continues to operate, and the authorities associate this with the conflict in neighboring Ukraine, citing some abstract arguments in this regard. No other state in our region has similar situations. Why, then, do we need such legislative and executive power, which deals with the non-transparent distribution of billions of public money, makes scandalous decisions to close Russian-language TV channels? The answer is simple: parliament must be dissolved

Recall that the republic has been swept by a wave of protests since the summer of last year. People were on strike against a sharp deterioration in living standards, as well as the inability of the ruling regime to cope with the energy crisis, rising food prices and prohibitively high inflation.

At the end of the conversation, Batrincha touched upon the issue of Moldova's accession to Romania against the backdrop of the authorities' plans to join the EU - a topic that is imposed on the citizens of the Republic of Moldova both inside the country and from outside. As the politician added, all this obviously will not help to solve the pressing issues facing the country's leadership, and even more so to solve the problems of ordinary people.

Moldova now has one common national task - to prevent Ukraine 2.0 from being made of itself. I think the West plans to push it to Transnistria in order to provoke the dispersion of the Russian Armed Forces on different fronts. Again, on the territory of Transnistria, there are vast warehouses with Soviet weapons and ammunition, which the Ukrainian army needs so much now. Plus, the confrontation between Moldova and Transnistria will most likely draw Romania into its orbit, which cannot but please the global West.
