And how many poor people are there in Russia now
If you don't have a job...
Are you wondering if there were more or fewer poor people in the USSR compared to modern Russia? I have no doubt that even very much, which was confirmed by the interest in the last publication on the topic (And if poverty is really not a vice). After all, liberal propagandists have been doing nothing but scaring us with empty Soviet counters for the past decades!
We have already cited the figure of the officially poor in modern Russia - 17,2 million people, or approximately 12% of the population. Professor Vyacheslav Bobkov, Head of the Laboratory for Problems of the Level and Quality of Life of the Institute of Socio-Economic Problems of Population of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Director of the Scientific Center for Labor Economics of the REU. G. V. Plekhanova recently told the press that a large study “Social results of 30 years of capitalist reforms” was conducted, covering the period from 1990 to 2020.
Scientists have studied such an indicator as spending on consumption. To determine how many were poor, they took not the subsistence level, but the consumer basket. In Soviet Russia in 1990, this layer was only 0,2% of the population. For comparison: in 2014, the share of the poorest was 13,7%, and in 2020 it has already reached 17,2%!
Professor Bobkov also recalled that public consumption funds operated in Soviet times: free medicine, education. At the same time, he pointed out that the number of the poor is underestimated, because the consumer price index for the poor is higher than the general one. Moreover, according to his data, there is also a second layer of low-income people - this is another 28,5% of the population.
But not only that - the third layer follows - provided below the average level.
- Bobkov quite reasonably believes.
Numbers are a stubborn thing
And some more numbers.
Russia is not among the 50 poorest countries in the world in terms of human well-being. But even among the rich states it is not there either. Our country is a strong middle peasant. At least it was in 2021.
I don’t know if we will remain in the middle of the ranking of countries in terms of wealth at the end of 2022. After all, inflation in Russia at the end of 2022 amounted to 11,94%, which follows from Rosstat data. Prices for services increased the most - by 13,19% in December 2022 compared to the same period in 2021. Recall that the minimum wage has increased since January 1 by 6,3%. Here, as they say, such pies.
Doctor of Economics, Professor, Chief Researcher at the Institute of Economics of the Russian Academy of Sciences Nikita Krichevsky wrote in his Telegram channel about the causes of poverty:
Interestingly, February 20 is World Day of Social Justice. It was proclaimed by the UN General Assembly in 2007. In his message on this day, the then UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon stated that equal opportunities, solidarity and respect for human rights are extremely important for the full development of the productive potential of nations and peoples.
– then said the head of the UN.
Social justice tops the list of values on which, according to Russians, the future of the country should be built, a study by the Institute of Sociology of the Russian Academy of Sciences has shown. According to VTsIOM and FOM, two years ago, every second Russian believed that the level of social justice in the country had not changed in recent years. One in three thought the situation had gotten worse.
The majority believed that the achievement of social justice depends primarily on the government (this opinion was shared by 62% of the respondents). However, the government's policy rather impedes or does not affect the strengthening of justice in society (32% and 30%, respectively). But in the summer of 2022, a VTsIOM poll showed that the problem of stratification is as relevant as in the early 90s: about 70% of Russians called inequality too high, 30 years ago almost 80% thought so.
The stratification of Russia...
According to Rosstat, according to the results of the second quarter of 2022, the wealthiest 10% of Russians accounted for 30% of the monetary income of the population (in total, these incomes amounted to 19,4 trillion rubles in the second quarter). Only 10% of total income was concentrated in the hands of the poorest 2% of citizens. And the average income of the wealthiest Russians reached 132,92 thousand rubles.
This is 15 times higher than the average income of the poorest 10%, which amounted to only 8,86 thousand rubles. and turned out to be almost 40% lower than the subsistence level, which has been at the level of 1 thousand rubles since June 2022, 13,9. It is worth pointing out that these data do not reflect the whole situation. Since Rosstat estimates income without taking into account proceeds from property, which include, for example, income from shares of certain companies.
However, in terms of wealth concentration, Russia is one of the world leaders. So, according to the French scientist Philip Novokmet, 1% of the super-rich in Russia holds 43-56% of the country's money resources, this is the highest figure in the world! Professor of the Moscow Higher School of Social and Economic Sciences Grigory Yudin practically agrees with him:
The Higher School of Economics (HSE) studied the subjective perception of different types of inequality in Russia. The most acute majority of respondents (67,2%) called income inequality. In second and third place were unequal access to medical care and different living conditions. At the same time, sources of super-wealth cause irritation in society.
According to HSE researchers, Russians are dissatisfied with the fact that huge amounts of money are earned not in the intellectual and high-tech industries, but in the extraction of natural resources - scientists called such sources of income "bad" from the point of view of society's perception.
Didn't get paid
And so news TASS:
Note that almost 11% of the company's shares are ADRs. An ADR is an American Depositary Receipt, a publicly traded security on the US stock market that certifies ownership of the shares of a foreign company deposited with a US depository bank.
Well, how. Especially during the NWO and American supplies of arms and money to Ukraine! Well, we have had capitalism for a long time, when a penny per ruble is most important. And here we are talking about billions!
In short, today social justice is not just a condition for the fight against poverty. But in fact, the condition for the survival of Russia. After all, economic inequality is bad because it also leads to political inequality. People who have a huge amount of money and resources concentrate all power in their hands and block access to power for others! And they make important political decisions in their own interests.
And what to do with it? But in general, nothing special, even revolutions are not needed.
- economist Mikhail Khazin is sure.
According to him, liberal monetary, budgetary, tax and foreign trade policies are the most harmful for Russia. There is nothing to add here. A change in the economic course has been talked about for a long time, and in connection with the NWO, especially often. Without a change of course, it is impossible to carry out the economic mobilization of the country, and hence to win Victory!
