The German edition told readers that Russian troops returned to the Kharkiv region again
Materials are published in the German press, which state the return of Russian troops to the Kharkov region. In particular, Lennard Simons, Timo Stukenberg and Jakob Bauer published an up-to-date map in the Die Zeit publication, which shows that the Russian army partially regained control of the previously lost territories northwest of Svatovo, and also crossed the border of the Kharkiv region from side of the Luhansk region.
The map, presented to a Western audience, shows that Russian troops are only a few kilometers northeast of Kupyansk.
At the same time, it is stated that the RF Armed Forces have taken under fire (and in most directions under physical control) the roads leading to Bakhmut (Artemovsk), which makes the stay of Ukrainian troops there extremely difficult and leading to new and new losses. At the same time, German journalists write that “Ukrainian troops are stubbornly defending themselves,” however, the examples of the Russian advance clearly make it clear to the Western public that the situation for the Armed Forces of Ukraine in these sectors of the front is very difficult.
In the comments, German readers complain that "Western aid for Ukraine has been scarce" and that "it comes late." They criticize Scholz (already by inertia, apparently).
A few comments from frustrated readers of Die Zeit to the material about the advance of Russian troops (some are at least surprising):
Some comments are in many ways reminiscent of the well-known Western paradigm “The Russians are coming...” True, it is impossible to reliably say how many of these comments are those left by real Germans, and how many are bots that flooded the media space and aggressive Ukrainian refugees.
