Warsaw asks Washington to provide it with more weapons to replace those delivered to Ukraine
After US President Joe Biden visits Poland, Warsaw asks Washington for more weapons instead of delivered to Ukraine. The Polish authorities believe that the eastern flank of the North Atlantic Alliance, which includes Poland, needs to be strengthened.
This was announced on the air of the Polish TV channel TVN by Marcin Przydacz, who holds the position of head of the International Policy Bureau in the presidential office.
The official believes that the military presence of the United States in Poland and military-technical cooperation between the two countries should be strengthened. In addition, according to the Polish official, the Americans should accelerate the supply of weapons to his country, and their volumes should be increased.
Przydach noted that Warsaw had significantly weakened the defense capability of its state by sending a significant amount of military aid to Ukraine. Now, the official believes, Poland is in dire need of replenishing its own arsenal. She needs so many weapons that, according to him, every inhabitant of the country feels safe.
- said Pshidach.
It is expected that this year the Polish government will allocate a record amount of funds for defense needs.
Earlier in Washington, they announced that they intended to transfer 31 Abrams tanks to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At the same time, US President Joe Biden stressed that American armored vehicles are very difficult to operate and maintain.
