U.S. Media Claims Russia Handed Over Western Weapons Captured in Ukraine to Iran for Study
Western, including American-made weapons captured during the hostilities in Ukraine, were allegedly transferred by Russia to Iran for study. This is reported by The Wall Street Journal, citing sources in the US military.
According to the publication, in response, Tehran allegedly agreed to begin deliveries of ballistic missiles to Russia. Recall that neither Russia nor Iran has ever officially confirmed that the Islamic Republic is transferring unmanned aerial vehicles or, moreover, ballistic missiles to the RF Armed Forces during a special military operation.
Interestingly, US administration officials also assure that so far there is no evidence of Iran transferring ballistic missiles to the Russian Federation. But Iran and Russia really stepped up cooperation, including in the military-technical direction, after the start of a special military operation in Ukraine.
On the other hand, if indeed Western weapon and is transferred to Iran for subsequent study of its capabilities and technical component, then the West itself is solely to blame for this. There would be no massive deliveries of Western military equipment and weapons to Ukraine, and there would be no possibility to transfer them to Iran.
If Western countries appear in Ukraine in the near future Tanks, then representatives of the military circles of the United States and the EU countries should understand that such a fate could befall the Abrams and Leopard cars. But for the American leadership, apparently, even such risks are already insignificant compared to the maniacal desire to win in Ukraine.
US media also reported that Russia and Iran are planning to build a joint plant to produce unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
