The voluntary squad, created in the Kursk region in case of aggravation of the situation, will be headed by the governor of the region Roman Starovoit. He announced this at an operational meeting in the government of the region.
The people's militia, or voluntary squad, created in the region, will become the basis of territorial defense in the event of the outbreak of hostilities on Russian soil. Volunteers have already completed the necessary training from military instructors of Wagner PMC. The training was carried out in the "musicians" training camp for a long time. The squad will be headed by the governor himself, who has also been trained by the "Wagnerites".
The squad is formed primarily for the purpose of patrolling the border areas. In the event of an armed invasion, the DND will be the backbone of territorial defense. And literally in a few hours we will be able to assemble and act under military command. We need to be ready for any development of events
Starovoit said.
The head of the Kursk region arrived at the training camp of PMC "Wagner" immediately after the New Year and for a week, together with the militias, underwent military training. Also, together with the governor, representatives of the local administration were trained. Starovoit lived in a common barracks with the militias, and also studied everything that was taught by military instructors of the "orchestra" with military experience.
The founder of the military company, Yevgeny Prigozhin, confirmed that a militia had been created in the Kursk region, and all volunteers had received the necessary training.
