The Ministry of Defense of Belarus announced plans for the supply of Russian Mi-35 helicopters to the republic
The Belarusian army is actively re-equipping, receiving new and modern military equipment from Russia and producing its own. This year, the military department of the republic plans to purchase multifunctional Russian Su-30SM fighters, and will also receive Russian Mi-35 helicopters. This was told by the commander of the Air Force and Air Defense Forces of Belarus Andrei Lukyanovich.
Mi-35 helicopters will be the first to enter service with the Air Force and Air Defense of Belarus, and in April the first four rotorcraft will arrive in the republic. In total, Minsk will receive a squadron of attack transport helicopters, i.е. 12 pieces. There is less information on Su-30SM fighters, while the decision to purchase and receive them is announced, but other parameters of the future contract are not disclosed. Currently, the Belarusian Air Force is armed with a squadron of similar vehicles received by Minsk in 2019-2021.
Lukyanovich said.
Belarusian-made equipment will also come to the troops, in particular, low-altitude radars "Rosa" and "Vostok". In addition, a large influx of aircraft missiles is expected.
Last year, Belarus put Russian S-400 anti-aircraft systems and Iskander operational-tactical missile systems on combat duty. Alexander Lukashenko announced this in December 2022. In addition, the Belarusian combat aircraft were re-equipped to be equipped with special ammunition with a "special warhead", and the pilots received the necessary training in their use.
