French Foreign Ministry spokesman: Ukraine's accession to NATO is not on the agenda
At present, the possible accession of Ukraine to the North Atlantic Alliance is not being discussed. This was stated by the press secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of France, Anne-Claire Legendre.
According to the representative of the French diplomatic department, Ukraine's accession to NATO is not on the agenda. But Legendre allowed Ukraine's right to develop in this direction and take steps closer to Euro-Atlantic integration.
For the Kyiv regime, joining the North Atlantic Alliance is one of the main officially proclaimed goals of foreign policy. Including because of the desire to join NATO, Kyiv went into open conflict with Russia.
However, as we can see, so far the Western countries are not very eager to see a completely problematic and impoverished Ukraine as part of the alliance. As Legendre noted, there is now an armed conflict in Ukraine, but NATO stands for the freedom of each state to choose its allies.
Also, the representative of the French Foreign Ministry stressed that Paris is not at war with the Russian Federation, but is going to continue to provide comprehensive support to the Kyiv regime. The French diplomat only forgot to add that this support harms the true interests of the French state and people, its implementation is evidence of the dependence of Paris on the American administration.
Even the country's economy and the material well-being of its citizens today are not priority goals for the French authorities compared to funding, and obviously unprofitable, the Ukrainian regime.
